had the best time
By Isaac, 9/26/05
From the minute we got there until we left, me and my wife had the best time. it was our 5th aniversary, and we even took our little boy who was only 6 months at the time. from the comfy robe and slippers. the bed was to die for, we wanted to stuff it in our suitcase and take it with us, but you can buy them from the hotel. the hotel is right in center city so it is easy to get to everything.

Excellent Service and Fabulous room
By Celeste, 9/25/05
The room was absolutely fabulous! The layout was sheer luxury and the bed's linens with the down pillows and comforter were heaven. Room service was prompt and our food delicious. I look forward to my next visit. Even the hotel gift shop was fabulous, the toniest around!

The rooms are the best in the city, location is wonderful, and the bar is fun. We never wanted to leave. Everyone was so nice and willing to make us feel right at home.

Most classicly designed hotel in Phila
By Lori, 9/24/05
First of all - you can bring your DOG!!! I love the architecture and the classic design in the lobby (the Bourse lounge), the rooms and the banquet spaces. The staff were very generous and accomodating and great at recommending other restaurants to try.

Just like home!
By D, 9/24/05
We are residents of Philadelphia and live in a luxury high-rise building. Our building water had to be shut down for an emergency fix overnight so we needed to stay away from home. We chose the Sofitel with no previous knowledge or experience with the chain. The service was friendly and efficient. The room was spectacular. Very clean and luxurious! Without question will stay again. We've actually made excuses to stay in this hotel without reason.

I will never stay anywhere else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/19/05
I absolutely love the Sofitel Philadelphia. I stayed there Sept 9-Sept 11 2005. I was amazed by the uniqueness of this hotel. The ammenities at the hotel were more than I could of ever imagined. The bed is to die for and the bathroom is decorated very nicely. Others hotels could learn alot from this establishement. When in Philadelphia I will stay no place but at the Sofitel Philadelphia

Sofitel is a great value
By Courtney, 9/16/05
The only problem I had with the hotel was the fire alarm at 230 and 430 in the morning. We were required to get out of bed and evacuate the hotel - both times it was a false alarm. The hotel did not offer any compensation for the interruption of a night's sleep. The only other drawback is the location - it is in the heart of Center City, but anything worth seeing is at least a half-mile away. Although there are some great eateries within 2 blocks The overall quality and value is excellent.

Exceptional
By Jaziyah, 9/15/05
Everything was exceptional - the service, the room, the location. The ladies at the front desk were very well dressed, well spoken, and courteous. The room itself was beautiful - very spacious, clean, and orderly. The bed was dreamy with plush bedding. We just loved our overnight getaway.

Best hotel in Philly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/24/05
Location, Location, Location...near everything in Center City. Near the core of downtown, Walnut Street shopping is a block away, within a couple of blocks of lots of great restaurants (try Alma De Cuba or Susanna Foo), a block to one of the greatest parks in the country ( Rittenhouse Square)...the hotel is well staffed, clean, and service oriented.

A Bit Of Heaven In Philadelphia
By Linda, 5/21/05
One of the very best surprises I found in Philly was the Sofitel Philadelphia. This hotel is pure European elegance in the heart of the city. From the moment I walked into the lobby, it was as though I had entered a different world...a world which only became more lovely after a fast, efficient and courteous check-in procedure. As a business traveler, I was thrilled upon entering my room. It was large, well appointed, quiet, with all of the amenities one could ask for, and then some. The beds were comfortable, the closet was huge, and it was complete with ironing board and iron, a safe, laundry bags, lots of hangers....anything one could want. And the bathroom....my goodness, I felt like I was in another world as I opened the double French doors into the spa-like bath with separate shower...it was incredible. In the morning, before my meetings, I went down to Cafe Colette for terrific croissants and coffee from a press. There were newspapers offered....it was simply a lovely way to start the day. Sofitel is definitely a hotel for those with discriminating tastes, or those who simply want to leave the hustle and bustle of the city, and escape to a little bit of heaven in Philadelphia.
