Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Beatrice, Beatrice

I normally make a point of checking a room when i rent it as I have had many bad experiances in the past. However I arrived early and the room was not "made up" yet so with trust in the brand name I paid for my extended stay got key and info and went on to work.
BIG MISTAKE ! I arrived later that evening tired and just wanting a shower and bed however after finally getting to the room I turned the light on to see a room I would not have spent $20. on !
Seriously the carpet was so stained I would never consider taking off my shoes and the "recliner" looked like a left over from a bad 70's yard sale all tattered and stained. I called the front desk thinking that there was some mistake and maybe the had given me the maintanance room or something and thier response was pretty close to big deal, who cares, leave if you dont like it.
I understand things are expensive these days and have no problem paying for a service worth the price charged however with extensive travels I feel anything over $27. a night is way too much for such a dump. Theres a cleaner one down the street called holiday villa for $30.. If you want a decent room, breakfast and dont need a pool, start with the victorian inn just south about a mile at light. Great staff, clean rooms and great breakfast. Not to mention about $30 a night cheaper than the sleezey inn (oops holiday inn)
