Hotel was awesome

At first I was disappointed not to be in downtown Vancouver, but the short 2 blocks to the Skytrain solved that issue. The bed was one of the best hotel beds I've encountered, and *loved* the pillows. A multitude of good restaurants in walking distance, Metrotown mall across the street, grocery shopping on another corner. This place had it all. And the the people were absolutely the best!! Everyone went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

Well run hotel

Rooms were great for a family of four with two queen beds. We paid for a fridge which was great as there is a huge supermarket across the road which is part of a vast shopping mall. We were able to stock up for breakfast and save expense. Train service to downtown is nearby, so good for getting around. Car hire in the lobby (National) half the price of renting at the airport. Bar is good. Small but adequate gym. Good hotel if downtown is not your focus.

In the city away from the city

This hotel was a surprise. So clean. The staff was wonderful. Metrotown being right across the street for some shopping. Great ethnic restaurants nearby. Has a great restaurant and bar in the hotel. Even has a lap pool.

Excellent Business Hotel

I was at this Hilton for one night. It is very close to the metrotown mall. The rooms were clean and nice. Internet connection was very easy, however the plug was behind the desk and I had to crawl under the desk to plug in. Once plugged, no issue. The staff was very nice and very friendly. Dinner at the restaraunt was ok, not spectacular. It was very empty. Breakfast was much better. Overall, a great hotel for the business traveller.

The best beds ever

The service was outstanding. These people are friendly, entertaining, and helpful. The location was great. We got here and parked and I took the kids everywhere by sky train. While the room rates were good, the restaurant prices and menu options weren't practical for people traveling with children. There was no fridge or microwave in my king suite, which I did miss as well. But the wonderful sleep on that amazing bed. Where can I buy one of those?

Awesome Hotel!

Location is awesome... Service is very good... But the swimming pool is a lap train pool... it was about 1 meter wide and 15 meters long... Great Hotel! Cheap!!!

Good but don't look to swim

I liked the hotel and it was nice compared to the rest of Vancouver. The pool was disappointing though... 1 lane half size.. never seen anything like it. They make pools like that? It took me until the third day to realize there was a large Chinese mall at the base of it and how to get there. They have Chinese everything, food, tea shops, hair dressers, dentists. Good thing I speak Chinese... otherwise... out of luck.

Weekend in Burnaby

The hotel is not remarkable in appearance. It is clean and the location is convenient if you want to shop. A large mall is very close. I found it difficult to find my way back to the hotel since it does not stand out in any way from the other buildings. The staff is exceptionally nice and try to help at every opportunity. They do not appear to be waiting for a tip for every question answered. The room entrance is very tight and the bathroom is to close to the entrance. It was comfortable and the staff is superior.

An excellent alternative

This excellent hotel is frequently overlooked by visitors to Vancouver because it seems like an out-of-the-way location. Although it is nowhere near the downtown area, the hotel is right near a Vancouver Skyline station. The fare is CA$3 and it takes about 10-15 minutes to reach downtown. The trains run frequently.
There's also a mall and a supermarket right across the street.
The hotel itself is a 4-star business-style hotel. The rooms are good size with a desk. The hotel also has a restaurant, which I would definitely recommend. I had breakfast there every day I stayed. The selection is good, the food is very good quality and the prices are very reasonable.
You could easily get a room at the Hilton for prices that are fanstastic bargains compared to similar hotels downtown.
