Baymont Inn & Suites Evansville East, Evansville

We made reservations here because we were having a family reunion and have stayed there in the past without a problem, however after we had went into the room what a mistake, there was feces all over the toilet the walls and the bathtub, the sheets were never changed and the floor was filthy not to mention the very bad smell of mold as well as the shower curtain being covered in mold.When I went to the front desk I was told what do you want me to do about it and for a brief moment I had thought about cleaning it but changed my mind.I had the girl at the front desk come up and she agreed that she would not stay here either and had to call the GM and get my money back and all she could say was that if they are that unhappy with the room then I guess give them their money back, so we went across the way to the Holiday Inn Express and had a very nice stay there, far superior hotel

Surprise #1...Before we booked, upon inquiry, we were told that the third floor was a no-pet floor. It was not, the smell first gave it away and then the dogs walking down the hall confirmed it. Our allergies kicked into high gear. Surprise #2....Even tho we put the sheet change request on the bed as directed, my sheets still had the coffee stain from my early morning spill. No change of linens! Surprise #3.... The Evansville area was under a DO NOT DRINK THE WATER warning, but no one at the desk bothered to inform us of the situation, or even offer bottled water. When I inquired the next day...the desk clerk told me that whoever checked us in should have told us. SURPRISE...she checked us in. We had made coffee, and drank the water. I did get sick, either from the water or the animal dander.

God willing, I plan to again stay next week at the Baymont Inn in Evansville. That will be my third time to stay there, and my wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed the two previous ones! The convenience of the loca- tion to shopping, restaurants, and business interests simply can't be beat. And the way they've treated our dachshund, P.J., has just been 'the best!' Couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay in Evansville, period. The food's been good and sufficient, the rooms have been 'to a T,' and the hospitality has been most gracious. In short, it's just a 'gray-t' place to stay! And we're looking forwards to being back again...next week!

Excellent travel hotel. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast includes made-to-order waffles, saugage-biscuits-gravy, and much more. Excellent value and the location is very quite yet near dozens of great restaurants. I go to Evansville regularly for business. I've stayed at many hotels over the years but now, Baymont is the only one.
