Rip Off on rates and parking
By Mary Beth, 08/07/09
Did not get best guarantee rate as advertised, had to pay $23 to park which was never told to me in advance. Room 508 is adjacent to workout center AND pool, very loud and no privacy. Had to ask for clean towels second day. Complaints to Customer Service went unanswered.

Rip off manager named Mohamed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/09
Don't stay here. You book online and get a great rate. You go to the hotel and they act they have you book for a rate three times what you booked. If this happens to you, demand to call their HQ which is located in Canada. They are very helpful and have the rate you reserved on hand in their system. Have them call Mohammed. Have them stay on the line while you get your room, otherwise, he will try to give you the rate for only one day and then offer you some ridiculus rate for the remainder of your stay. I contated the BBB and LaQuinta HQ regarding this. No response ever received from LaQuinta. This occurred during Mardi Gras. Beware!

Never cleaned
By Michael, 02/09/08
I stayed for 6 nights and the room was only cleaned 3 of those, and that was only after asking for them to clean it. I had to call down 2 nights to get fresh towels for the next morning since it was never cleaned, the bed never made, and trash never emptied. I personally would not stay in this hotel again. I also was not the only one with a problem. I saw another room who put their dirty towels out in the hallway, and a friend that checked in and had to change their room 2 times because it was not cleaned when they sent him up to it. The only bonus is the location to the French Quarter, Bourbon St, and the river.

never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/07/08
They overbook as a policy and in stead of apologizing when they leave their customers out, kept my deposit. It has been 4 months since my reserved date but no hint of reimbursement

Overall Great deal!
By Regan, 06/11/07
Hotel was clean, centrally located and service was great. I have a pet and the nearest grass was two and a half blocks away. I was concerned for my safety during a small dogs many need for late night and early potty trips.

Great Hotel, Great Location
By Jennifer, 07/05/05
We had an amazing 7-day stay and a great time in New Orleans. The hotel was in a great location, only 5 minutes (walking) from the French Quarter. We only had to take our car out of valet for one day, because everything was so close. We were happy to see that our car was parked in the lot directly across the street. Being in a new city, we felt very safe to have our car parked there. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Whenever we go back to New Orleans, we will be staying at this hotel.

Will return for another stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/05
The service was excellent and the front dest was very helpful and personalities was extremely professional. The Cleanliness of the room and bathroom was excellent and service was good. The location was also convinent to everything, casino, canal street, jackson ferry, and only block away from the french quarter and the street car for the garden district. The value was excellent, the pictures on the internet give not justice to this hotel, We was suprised how it look and the spacious rooms was superb.

Would have to think twice...
By Alaramia, 05/24/05
...about going to this hotel again. Stayed there Monday through Monday, 1st rooms plumbing was broke, furniture full of dust and the carpet full of stains (red stains every where), it was disgusting. Requested another room, this one also had plumbing problems, dusty furniture and the carpet was just as nasty as in the first room. The only view I had from my window was to a red brick wall of another building. From Monday through Friday the cleaning Lady showed up at my room only once and only upon request!!! By Friday I requested another room and finally was given a CLEAN room with a fantastic view and the cleaning Lady showed up faithfully till Monday. The water in the pool was ice cold and the hot tub did not work Location is only 2 blocks from the French Quarter, very convenient.

good value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/22/05
Very nice economical place to stay right downtown, close to everything. Room was very large & comfortable. Continental breakfast was so-so, OK if you skipped the soggy heated-up frozen waffles. Summary: very nice room with all the amenities including high speed internet access provided by La Quinta, or by the wi-fi from the hotel across the street that made it to my room!
