Perfect Honeymoon!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/11/07
It was just perfect! Eat down stairs and ask what they would recommend. My God that was the best dining I have ever had in my life. The room on the river was amazing and the area was beautiful and interesting. We went back again and it was still wonderful.

Fun at a slow pace
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/10/07
This hotel was lovely, and the location is excellent. We had fun here, but the pace of service is very slow and sometimes a bit nonchalant. But if you want things perfect, stay home. So all in all, it was an interesting adventure staying here. Coincerege Michael was most helpful!

Great hotel for frequent travelers
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/06
This was a charming hotel -- we often stay in hotels for business, so were looking for something that seemed more like a vacation. This was perfect -- we loved hanging out in our room, eating breakfast in front of the beautiful floor to ceiling windows, taking baths in the jacuzzi...the restaurant was excellent. The hotel has the intimacy that you need for a break from a hectic life, but still feels private and modern enough to be comfortable -- for example we had wireless access, appointments to the spa. We would have liked cable tv, since we don't speak french the tv options were limited - and the cd selection was also limited so we brought an ipod plug in. Everyone was friendly and anxious to be helpful. We felt this was a gay friendly hotel, tho we were private and didn't see other lesbian couples.

Convenient for sightseeing
By John, 9/26/06
This hotel was nice, but a little pricey for my wallet. My friend and I stayed in room 504 with two queen beds for $260 a night plus taxes. Foreign tourists to Canada can get the taxes refunded on purchases over $50. In our room the remote would not work and we were short some towels, but the hotel staff brought a new remote. Just outside the door of the room is the linen chest, so we just helped ourselves to more towels. The room safe would not work and after asking twice at the front desk was informed that it was broken. They offered to keep any valuables in the hotel safe---I didn't think that sounded like a good idea, but at least they offered. Breakfast was delicious, but the wait staff was overworked and service was very slow. Seemed like everyone wanted breakfast at once and the kitchen got backed up. Several choices of omlettes with cheese and meats, and pancakes -- it was all good. My friend and I used the subway system while in Montreal and this hotel was a 15 minute walk to the station. It is about 15 minute walk to Notre Dame Cathedral. Lots of restaurants on the cobblestone streets just out the back door of the hotel.

Absolutely Wonderful!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/31/05
My husband and I stayed here in early August and had a wonderful time. The hotel is centrally located in the historic district of Montreal, in front of the port, near lots of great restaurants, sidewalk cafes, art galleries and museums. Our room was fairly large with very comfortable brass bed, stone walls, wooden floors and large windows opening up to the river. The bathroom was equipped with a whirlpool tub, bathrobes and slippers. Our rate included a fabulous breakfast and a wine and cheese cocktail served in the bar by the reception. The staff was professional, friendly and always eager to help. Would return in a second!

Beautiful!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/3/05
Loved the full floor to ceiling french windows. Large room and jacuzzi. Have your breakfast brought to your room - it's included in the price of the room - and was just about my favorite part of the trip. Staff was super freindly and helpful. Valet parking which is required in that part of town was excellent. Go up to the roof for the fireworks.
