Extended Stay America Rockvill, Rockville

Tried to check-in (10:45 at night) ...took 20 min because the afrikan fellow was obviously new, bad english and the lady assisting him was too busy talking with other couple standing at the counter, talking about the cost of underwear. After finally getting a room, opened the door, the light switch on the wall did not work....had to stumble over coffee table to bathroom. The bathroom had no toilet paper, soap still in the dish in the tub area as well as in the sink holders. The bed was unmade and carpet needed vacuuming. Obviously and oversight of housekeeping. Went back down to clerk, who scambled for 20 min to get me another room. He said 251, but asked me to follow him to check it out. He tried to open 151 (don't know why), but obviously, someone was asleep in there...who yelled out at him. He then took me to room 251....looked okay, but he could not get the a/c to work. I finally gave up on this place. While checking out of this "joint" I noticed a sign that indicated that if you wanted your linen's & towels replaced..you would have to pay an additional $3 a day. That's just not right! I got better service at a Marriott, Hyatt, etc. I defintely would NOT stay here nor can I recommend this place. BEWARE!
