Come relax and enjoy the Best Western Plaza Hotel located in Hot Springs State Park, Thermopolis, Wyoming. This historic landmark originally opened its doors in 1918 to provide comfort to those traveling to Thermopolis to partake of the soothing, therapeutic mineral waters of the park, today we continue to comfort those who come. In 1999, the hotels historic past was recaptured when it was renovated and reopened, hand-crafted lodgepole pine furniture graces the entire hotel, which consists of 18 standard rooms and 18 two-room suites. The second floor suites even have wood-burning fireplaces. Guests still enjoy the mineral water which is piped directly from its source to an outdoor spa on the premises. The property also has a heated, fresh-water pool which is open during the summer months. In addition, there are two commercial water parks within easy walking distance of the hotel which have many attractions for families with children. When not swimming or soaking, enjoy white water rafting, digging for bones at the largest dinosaur dig in the United States, fishing, hunting or simply relaxing. The staff takes pride in the services we provide and the responses received from satisfied guests justify that pride. Many guests return simply to enjoy the hospitality and charm of the Best Western Plaza Hotel.

Nice Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/08
This is a nice little hotel right at the entrance to Hot Springs State Park. Recently remodeled w/ all the basics a family would need. The comp breakfast is the stanbdard fare but well apportioned and plently to go around. Everything in town is within a walking distance or a short drive (within 2 miles). The single double bed room is a bit small but workable. The river is right out the front door and the pool and spa is great for families to relax in. Overall a great stay and I would recommend.

Snotty Staff
By James, 06/29/07
I am a buisnes traveler. When my company changed my plans, I tried to cancel my room. I was informed that there was a 24 hr prior to check in policy, no exceptions. The manager was rude and snotty about explaining it to me. A 24 hour policy is a great way to drive away buisnes travelers who can's always control where they will be staying next. I did learn a valuable lesson, which is never stay at a best western.

What a great place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/06
We loved the Best Western in Thermopolis. It is conviently located by the hot springs attractions and is across the street from a restuarant and lounge (at the Holiday Inn). We had a very clean, comfortable, family suite that suited our needs as a family of four. We also recommend Las Fuentes Mexican restuarant and Pumpernicks, both located in town.

Good Value - Great Fun - Awesome Rooms.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/04
It's amazing to see how Best Western and the owner has transformed a 1900 era building to a great little hotel/resort. It's a cozy place, well maintained and remodelled. They have their own Hot Springs in the court yard, and are with in walking distance to all the attractions of Thermopolis. I highly recommend staying at this Hotel!
