The Westin Riverwalk San Antonio, San Antonio

I absolutely LOVED the hotel. I came down with my church for the youth gathering last summer and the hotel made the trip just that much better. It had a central location, service was excellent, and the rooms were very clean- everything i could ask for in a hotel and i cant not wait to come back for another visit!!

we picked the westin riverwalk because it was on the quieter side of the riverwalk, the pillowtop mattress and the 3rd nite free stay. We were not disappointed! The staff was very nice, several stopped me when wandering thru the hotel lobby to ask if i needed anything or gave me directions to points of interest. Upon check in we were given a voucher for drinks while our room was being finished. We had a junior suite with a balcony and connecting room for our daughter overlooking the riverwalk. It was clean, comfortable and nicely appointed.the very large bathrooms were too die for! Large garden tub with seperate glass shower and a makeup mirror. The staff again catered to all our needs bringing us extra water and towels. Room service was quick and hot. They nicely set up breakfast on the terrace for us. you can walk out directly to the riverwalk which was within walking distance of the alamo, rivercenter mall, and resturants on the river. During the afternoon they have tea time with wonderful watermelon or cantelope juice, cookies and a guitarist for lovely background music while we sat on the veranda. The resturant in the hotel was great. Very good food and elegant. Again and i am sorry if i say this too often but the staff was excellent in their attentivness. We stayed for 3 days and felt like we were pampered the whole time. We will definatly stay at this hotel again! It was a beautiful hotel, great location and rooms. We had a wonderful stay and there is nothing bad i can say about the hotel. The valet parking was a little pricey at 25.00 per day but convienent. Hint: when checking out, at close to checkout time it is hectic to get your car. Call down ahead of time and they are nice to give us bottled water while we waited. Fantastic hotel! Aaa+++ ps: we noticed that this is also a pet friendly hotel which was cute to see a few pampered pets being walked around!

If you go on a weekend night, get a room facing the river. The traffic at 3 AM on the street below is deafening. An earlier review stated the bottled water was free? This is not the case in early 2006. It's $5 a bottle, you get 2 bottles in the room, with a card attached stating the room account will be charged $5 for each bottle consumed. Parking at the hotel is now $23 as of early 2006 as well. It's $9 across the street in the lot. The Heavenly Bed was ok, but many non-Westin standard components in the room were used, such as towels.

A+++ Hotel. Highly recommended to all. We had an excellent time and the stay was very pleasant. The beds were amazing and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The location was great. It was an fun and great experience.

This hotel was so relaxing, the heavinly beds were ausome! They did mess up on our room, but they upgraded us to the Presedential sweet! The price wasn't bad at all! The service is really friendly. Surrounded by great shops! I loved the fact that we were right on the river walk, that was outstanding! they had ausome resterants and shops on the river walk, you could even take a tour on a boat! I would definitely go back agian!

the hotel was amazing,from the foyer to the spacious rooms,it was like being in vegas,marble bathrooms and great river view, only complaint was valet parking was a little pricey,overall i would give this hotle an A+.

My wife fell in the parking araa while getting near the car. No one made a report or offered any help, although six people from the hotel gathered around her to see what happened. She fell off the short curb going into the entrance.

We recently attended the T.P.A. Conference that was headquarted at the Westin Riverwalk. The service at this hotel is second to none. From the managers to those parking vehicles, maids to bartenders, these individuals had been well versed on what exceptional service is all about. Some might feel that this establishment is somewhat pricey... but the bottom line is you get what you pay for and this place is worth every penny. This place was great. It was close to everything, yet far enough away that you didn't hear the noise. The river view room wasn't worth the extra money, but it was nice to have. The staff was helpful and courteous.

I had the opportunity to manage a meeting at the property during the Fiesta. With the riverwalk simply over flowing with people, you never felt the hectic pace. The hotel still provided quality service and products and were an active part of the celebration. This made the hotel lively and festive yet it did not impact our meeting or attendees other than in a postive way. Our folks complimented the hotels service as well as it's location cherishing the ability to walk to everything. The heavenly beds are always a crowd pleaser and contributed to all our attendees having a great nights rest. At the end of the day, we were there for business reasons and the hotel's space, service and attitude made it one of our most succesful meetings to date. So, our folks had fun, the slept great and most importantly, reached their meetings objectives. Fiesta, Siesta and Work !
