Respite For The Weary Traveler
By Jan from New Jersey, 07/08/07
After an awful experience at the Buffalo Marriott, I was relocated to the Courtyard by Marriott. The staff at the Courtyard went out of their way to be helpful. I stayed in a room with a king-size bed and a sitting area. It was lovely. Everything in the room worked as expected --the TV, the coffee pot, the iron, the clock radio, etc.. The bed was extremely comfortable. I was on the second floor and it was quiet. The restaurant on-site was only open for breakfast; however, that was more than adequate as I spent most of my time sightseeing and visiting friends. The breakfast was inexpensive and included a variety of dishes. In addition, hotel staff provided me with menus from restaurants that delivered to the room. I especially appreciated the fact that hotel staff called to ask if I had ordered food before allowing the delivery man to come up to my room. The food from DiMarco's was delicious. The lobby was comfortable and attractive. A computer and printer were available for guest use in the lobby. It was nice not to have to ask for a computer station. I was able to print out my airplane boarding pass with ease. For those traveling with laptops, there was internet access in the room. Although there was not a great view from the window in my room, the area surrounding the Courtyard by Marriott appeared safe and was well lit. This hotel is conveniently located for sightseeing in Buffalo as well as the American and Canadian sides of Niagara Falls. At the end of the day, Courtyard by Marriott in Amherst New York provided a relaxing environment for my much needed vacation. This hotel is definitely recommended for Buffalo/Niagara Falls visitors.

Non-smoker
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/06
A week after checking out of my room, I received a letter stating that I was being charged $250.00 for smoking in the room. Problem is I don't smoke. After calling the General Manager and customer service numbers they stated the charges would not be taken off. I'll never stay at another Marriott chain.

Very Noisy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/27/06
I have recently stayed at this hotel...be certain not to accept any rooms near elevators. Person were taking the elevators in to the late hours of the morning and in my opinion were very drunk, loud and and no regard to persons sleeping. We were awoke by these buffoons every half-hour until 3:45am. In addition, for $159.00 not even a donut or made coffee was provided in the morning. Absolutly the worst experience we ever had with staying at a hotel, and we have stayed in hotels from Maine to Oregon. Good riddance !

Saved us in the rain!
By Judy, 11/15/05
We left the Niagara Falls hotel in a snit and started driving and an incredible rain storm started and we found this hotel. WOW! We got a beautiful room, everyone was so helpful and we've decided Buffalo should be our new home town and we're southerners!! Great hotel!

Nice place but not a value for money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/05/05
This is a nice place, with great new carpets..and soft beds with awesome white sheets. However, for the same rate, i would rather get a room at similar places which have kitchenettes and free breakfast. So courtyard isn't really providing much value. If it was lesser priced or included free breakfast it may have got more stars... from me. Still a well kept and clean comfy room, i should say.

We chose this hotel for the convenient location
By travelertsc, 06/07/04
I was in town for the weekend to attend a friend's wedding in Williamsville and we stayed at the Courtyard Marriott because it was close to the reception.

It's very conveniently located (right off Highway 290, about 10 minute drive from Buffalo-Niagra Airport), but the neighborhood is pretty sterile (between an empty weedy lot and the highway). It's also about 30 minute drive to Niagra Falls (across the Rainbow Bridge)

The rooms are very basic... exactly what you would expect from a Courtyard Marriott.
