Respite For The Weary Traveler
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/8/07
After an awful experience at the Buffalo Marriott, I was relocated to the Courtyard by Marriott.
The staff at the Courtyard went out of their way to be helpful. I stayed in a room with a king-size bed and a sitting area. It was lovely. Everything in the room worked as expected --the TV, the coffee pot, the iron, the clock radio, etc.. The bed was extremely comfortable. I was on the second floor and it was quiet.
The restaurant on-site was only open for breakfast; however, that was more than adequate as I spent most of my time sightseeing and visiting friends. The breakfast was inexpensive and included a variety of dishes. In addition, hotel staff provided me with menus from restaurants that delivered to the room. I especially appreciated the fact that hotel staff called to ask if I had ordered food before allowing the delivery man to come up to my room. The food from DiMarco's was delicious.
The lobby was comfortable and attractive. A computer and printer were available for guest use in the lobby. It was nice not to have to ask for a computer station. I was able to print out my airplane boarding pass with ease. For those traveling with laptops, there was internet access in the room.
Although there was not a great view from the window in my room, the area surrounding the Courtyard by Marriott appeared safe and was well lit. This hotel is conveniently located for sightseeing in Buffalo as well as the American and Canadian sides of Niagara Falls.
At the end of the day, Courtyard by Marriott in Amherst New York provided a relaxing environment for my much needed vacation.
This hotel is definitely recommended for Buffalo/Niagara Falls visitors.
