Attention Female Travelers***STAY HERE!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/17/07
I am a single female sales rep and I travel extensively. I find that I have trouble sometimes with desk clerks announcing my room number aloud in a crowded lobby or giving my room number out over the phone. I also don't like to be placed near an outside entrance or exit for safety reasons. The staff at Sleep Inn should write a book titled "Privacy Protocol: An Innkeepers Guide." Cissy wrote my room number on my key holder and never said it out loud, just discreetly pointed as she handed me the keys and said this is your room number. She then gave me times for breakfast and dinner, asked if I needed help with my luggage, and actually helped me carry 10 display cases to the meeting room. This hotel even serves a free full course meal every Tuesday from 5 to 7 and they have homemade soups, sandwiches, and salads on the other nights I have stayed. I know for a fact that this is the only hotel in Owensboro that provides an evening meal at no cost. All calls are answered by the front desk, which keeps them busy, but it prevents having to give my room number out to clients for direct dialed calls. The property is CLEAN and well maintained, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and articulate. Jean in breakfast prepares scrambled eggs and cheese, sausage-gravy and biscuits, and cuts fresh fruit every morning by hand. The housekeeping staff pays attention to every little detail. I have said too much...I have just stayed in so many hotels across the southern US and this is one of the few places that I actually look forward to visiting. I am impressed and you will be too. Excellent rate and amenities.
