Very nice! Hubby, doggy& I,stayed 4a boot camp grad
By ~*~, 01/08/10
Dogs welcome! My husband and I got the king bed with sleep sofa room for $55 a night plus a $50 total pet fee(better then a lot of places that charge you per night). Room was great for hanging out with family after boot camp graduation. Nice area with lot's of food options and walmart/target nearby, less then 10 min drive to base. Mini fridge and microwave came in handy for our 3 night stay. Very clean hotel, with good breakfast and friendly staff, plus I loved the afternoon free cookies. The only bad things I can come up with are the hallways smelled a bit chloriny once or twice from the indoor pool and the towels were scratchy.

Next to Great America
By Maureen, 07/04/09
Newly renovated. Certainly not a luxury hotel but clean. No smells. Friendly staff but seems somewhat mismanaged. Breakfast was busy but staff tried to keep on top of it. Hot sausage and biscuits were a nice touch. Pool was warm, hours nice and long. The hot tub was too hot & couldn't be turned down when asked. The pool chemical smell in the pool area was overwhelming. The area was loud even with the sound-proof baffles. Had to ask for pool towels. They gave me just enough for our group. At the pool another (young man) took one of our towels when he saw there weren't any. It would have been nice if they had replenished a bunch when I asked. In the morning there were about 20 towels on the shelf, definitely not full. Our youngest threw a massive over-tired fit in our room and our friends next door couldn't hear it except in the hallway. Exceptional. Very fluffy pillows. Mattress was okay. Pull-out couch was typical, flat screen tv, frig, 2-cup coffee pot, desk and chair

sick to my stomach
By Lisa, 01/21/09
the night that a friend of mine and I stayed was the worst. At 3:00 A.M. a smell , found out later that it was chlorine from the swimming pool made the person I was with violently ill. We called the front desk and was told that no one else had complained and that there was no manager on duty but they would have someone come to the third floor and smell the hallway. they did not tell us when and did not call after or come to the room. The manager after more tries with the front desk did call us five hours after the first complaint. My roommate was violently ill

Great place to Stay
By Jo, 03/21/08
We live in the area and just wanted to get away (short distance) to go swimming and enjoy the evening and we did -- the staff was extremely friendly and nice, the beds were comfortable (encluding the couch bed), all was clean and relaxing, the breakfast was great for adults and children (all enjoyed!) We're going back this weekend!

Great stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/01/07
Pros: Great location for Malls, Six Flags and Great Lakes Naval Station. The room was a good size, the bed and pillows very comfortable (unlike the Sleep Inn at Midway), the coffee was delicous, the young man and young woman who helped us were very friendly, and it was clean. The microwave and refrigerator where very convenient. We would most definately stay here again if we were in the area.

Im glad that it was only for one night
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/07
We checked in around 9pm the linen was not clean the comforter had red stains on it. When I called down to the front desk to request a change of linen, I was told that none was available and that the most they could offer me was a blanket. The beds were not comfortable and appeared unleveled. There apparently was a family with small children staying in a room above us because all we heard throughout the night was someone constantly running back and forth. I'm glad our stay was only for one night.

Could use a good cleaning
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/16/07
I don't under stand why the manager don't get on the staff about vacuuming these hotels. This was one is one of the worst that I've seen in a while. It's not like they didn't have time because I checked in early on my first night and the cleaning staff was already gone. That is my only complaint the rest of the stay was great. Good sleep, Good bed, nice and quit and the front desk people where nice. Close to food and mall and also close to Six Flags if anyone is going there.

Attended my needs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/27/07
Liked the fridge and microwave. No view, the parking lot could use improvements. It's close to the mall and the restaurant district. Thanks for letting me use the wireless card.

Nothing to Brag About
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/06
The service at the front desk was very good and friendly. The breakfast area was way too small! It was very difficut to get around in there then with the added nuicense of the attendant pushing her way around constantly. The refridgerator in our room smelled like a dead body was stored in there so we could not use it. The door to the room weighed a ton and was very difficut to open even for the adults. I would not stay there again.
