We just got back from our trip. Loved the condo..excellent view, not only did you see the ocean but there is a park and museum..so when you looked out from the lani there wasn't another building that you had to look at. We normally like it quiet , with smaller crowds , but we really enjoyed the whole experience ! We checked some rooms at very nearby big hotels...lobbies are beautiful , but all you get is a room however nice they are ! There was a full kitchen , W/D , small tub and shower , very open and clean !! Also very quiet ,we were on the 8th floor. 2nd time to hawaii....we would most deffinatly go back to the Outrigger Shores !!!

We fell in love with this condo located right on the beach. This time we rented directly from an owner. There was construction going on, but because we were up on one of the high floors, it wasn't at all an issue. Our condo was above the Outrigger Reef and had spectatular views. The Waikiki Beach Walk Project was open. Try the Yard House--great food! We had ocean views from the front door and from the lanai. Also, we had front row seats to Friday night fireworks. The back gate opens right up to the beach. The building has an outdoor shower with hot water and a surf board rack. The lobby of the Outrigger Reef is connected to the condo, so we still got to have our daily Jamba Juice and Starbucks. The Ocean House, our favorite restaurantm is right downstairs. The studio was very clean, furnished with nice towels, beds were very nice, had a w/d, large bathroom, and full kitchen. The owner even loaned us boogie boards and beach chairs. We already miss relaxing on the lanai watching the cruise ships at sunset!

We have stayed at Waikiki Shores a number of times now, thought I'd finally write a review. It is such a great place, from the minute you walk into the condo you're taken back by the views. The 1bedroom is quite large and really airy. The unit we stayed in this past visit had all new furnishings, paint, flooring, everything! Being able to have 24hour service from Outrigger staff is a BIG plus as we heard complaints from those using the other company (they close at 4pm) Really a great location, beaches great and just can't say enough and can't wait to go back...we've even written the # down of the unit to request it again!

We've stayed here twice, once in November, 2005 and once in September, 2006. After trying two types of accommodations at the facility, we prefer the one bedroom condo over the studio. The facility is quiet, an Outrigger Hotel is right next door, and the parking under the bulding is very convenient. The weekend fireworks displays from the nearby Hilton were quite grand. My wife and I surf, and it was a pleasant pre-dawn walk to the coffee shop next door and then up the beach to rent our boards from the beach boys. We'll be back.

This hotel is in a great location if you want to be right in the middle of Waikiki. However, be prepared to sit right next to strangers on the crowded beach or at the crowded pool. Get your umbrellas & chairs for the beach by 9 am. The pool is noisy and is deep- so for small children, this can be dangerous. The pool has a very limited area to stand/sit on the steps-- so it gets very crowded between the smaller kids playing and people getting in and out of the water. We had a 4 1/2 year old and a 8 month old when we traveled here and orginally they gave us the room about the size of a large walk-in closet w/2 double beds. The bathroom didn't even have a full size tub-- it was a tub shaped like a square. When we called down to have the room changed (we were staying 8 nights), they could not accomodate our request until the next morning. The restaurants at the hotel are pretty good, but crowded and room service only serves until 9:30 pm with a very limited menu. (Thank goodness for the Cheesecake Factory right next door and Chili's 2 blocks away). We had lots of family traveling with us and on several occasions we went to different resort properties to sit at their beaches were it was quieter and MUCH less crowded. All in all- an average place to stay considering the options available in Hawaii, even in the same price range. I would not go back with small children. I will only stay at a different property with more beach space/pool space if I ever go back to Waikiki. I didn't find the crowds relaxing on the streets and could not find solace at the beach or the pool.

WE STAYED HERE TWICE AND LOVED IT FOR THE VIEW, THE SPACE, THE KITCHENETTE AND ALL IT'S FEATURES, LAUNDRY FACITILTIES IN THE BATH. OH EVERYTHING. RIGHT ON THE BEACH. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS CONDO. WE STAYED ON THE 5TH FLOOR AND THE 7TH. BOTH WERE SPECTACULAR FOR VIEWS DAY AND EVENINGS.

I LOVED the floorplan and setup of this hotel--from lobby and entrance to the room and pool. Immediately, it was so serene and island-living! It was so nice to walk out the "back" of the hotel and be right on Waikiki beach with a gorgeous view of Diamond Head. And the restaurants' dishes were to die for! We enjoyed our stay immensely! I can not WAIT to go back!
