Super 8 Motel Blanding, Blanding

Room, only a few yards from main highway, had no deadbolt, ancient lock of the type that can be opened with credit card or shim, no chain inside. Due to security concerns I had to carry all valuables with me all day. Room was not made up while we were out (we were there 2 days because place was recommended for conference at nearby college campus). No cups provided for toothbrushing. There was hot water, there was breakfast of the usual inexpensive motel type, kids at desk and breakfast sweet. I don't think the place was dirty, but it is so run down, with ancient beat-up furniture, old tile in bathroom, etc., that it seemed grubby. And it was NOT that cheap. In fact I think it was really, really expensive -- I'd expect to pay 39.99 or some such for that kind of room and it was over 60 bucks.

They gave our room key to someone else at 10:00 pm and they opened up our room door while we were a sleep. And all they didn't for us was called us bad people. there was no micro wave or frig in room. No breakfast if you want breakfast you pay $ 20.00 more and stay next door at the Comfort Inn that the same people own and we were told that the breakfast was terrible and they were out of everything.

Actually a nice, big facility, and reasonably clean - but zero service, and NO HOT WATER - NONE. That means cold showers or no showers. Furthermore, when we got up in the morning, there was NO breakfast - not even coffee - and the breakfast room was dirty - a mess - and there was no desk clerk or employee to be seen. There are other motels in Blanding - check 'em out.
