I just feel it is the right thing to do by informing everyone that this hotel, in 2010 was BRAND NEW and was immaculate. Not only was the hotel staff some of the friendliest and truly happy to serve, but they also went out of their way locating even our driving directions for returning home. Not to be cliché but they were friendly and like family, which is not a term I use lightly… I cannot express ENOUGH the level of care and cleanliness and home like feeling that we had the moment we entered to the second we left….In fact we have another trip scheduled for later this month….THIS WAS AND IS THE BEST PLACE WE STAYED AT BEWTWEEN OMAHA, NEBRASKA TO JANESVILLE MICHIGAN. We great deal in our life to other countries lavish hotels and I cannot believe I am actually saying this but this was one of the nicest reasonably priced hotels we have stayed in, lately the holiday inn or Hilton inn expresses have upgraded their hotels, but this was hands down….BETTER… I just felt they deserved a review that was the truth and accurately described the hotel….

Do not reccommend this hotel, there was a bug in the bed and when they moved us to another room the shower was so disgusting I had to wear my flip flops, I felt like kids at the college dorm. I will not go back to this hotel AGAIN!!

The AmericInn in Monmouth is a brand new hotel opened June 2008. The other review must be from the old hotel that used to be located in Monmouth, IL. Great hotel, very clean and a wonderful staff!
