Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort, S. Jose del Cabo

Best trip I ever had. Only there for 4 days but would recommend highly. Great weather, pools, beach, and a real hard working friendly staff. Great workout facility also.. Will never forget the experience!!

We were there for a convention and had a wonderful time. The place is beautiful, the service and food were great and the pools beautiful. We had no problems getting into town and loved the resort so much we would definately go back.

Everything at this resort is top notch! The shuttle service getting from some of the outer buildings to the main building is excellent. All of the restaurants, including those by the sea are great. The golf course is beautiful and a good challenge for all players. I have nothing but high praise for this place, one of 3 that I've stayed at in Cabo. You will not find anything better there.

Just a fair warning about Fiesta Americana in general but it does apply to Los Cabos. My wife and I have a timeshare (FAVC) with Fiesta Americana and were booked for Cabo for the week of 5/10. Because we have kids at home, we decided agains taking the trip because of the swine flu concerns. We called Fiesta Americana to cancel the hotel and they would not waive the cancellation fee or the points that we paid to make the reservation What was so frustrating was that on Fiesta Americana's website, they have a notice to travelers stating that they'll refund the hotel stay and waive cancellation fees. However, when I called Fiesta Americana, they said that the refund didn't apply to vacation club members. So someone else who was staying at the exact same hotel could get their stay refunded as long as they were not a vacation club member. Seems like a good corporate citizen would at least be consistent with their policy and not rule out certain people just because they invested thousands of dollars to become a long-time timeshare member.

Service was great. Language wasn't a problem. Facility in great condition workers constantly cleaning property. Wasn't crowded at all. I expected meals to be ridiculously priced--not the case--it's resort prices but not what I expected from some of the comments I've seen. Had Filet one night and it was $25--can't get that at home. If you ate every meal there it would add up but we had a kitchen in the room so stocked up at Wal Mart and ate breakfast and lunch there. My wife and I plus 3 kids had a great time on the beaches at the pools and at the ping pong table. Great snorkling at the beach. Walmart and Costco about 10-15 min drive away. Went there almost everyday. Only negitive would be that it is kind of away from any stores or shopping but it's only a short drive into Cabo. Didn't have wireless internet unless went to lobby. Expect to be greeted with them trying to sell you the Fiesta Americana Timeshare deal.

I have never felt so important in my life. The customer service at Fiesta Americana made me feel as if I was the First Lady of The United States of America:) I recommend this Resort to anyone who is traveling to Cabo for the first time or looking for a romantic place with your partner. I myself enjoyed it to the fullest with my girlfriends:)

The hotel is beautiful, but a bit boring and way too expensive. For all that money, all you get is a room and access to the pools. Nothing is included, and the restaurants in the hotel are way too expensive for what they give you. For instance we arrived and ate at the poolside restaurant. Some nachos, some pasta, a beer, a margarita, and a lemonade cost us $600 pesos (about $60 USD). That seemed completely outrageous to my wife and I. There was also a minibar in our room. Thank goodness I had the sense to check the prices first! A can of coke cost $40 pesos. A microscopic bottle of Don Julio cost $322 pesos!!! There is only one way to go to this hotel. Take the group taxi from the airport to the hotel ($150 pesos per person). From the hotel rent a car. Renting a car is an absolute necessity due to the lack of things to do and the high prices of the restaurants at the hotel. Taxis cost way too much to go anywhere. We got a car for $500 pesos a day, which is a great deal when you look at it with perspective. We also did one other thing which made a huge difference in our trip. We accepted the "free" breakfast with the Vacation Club agent and listened to the presentation about joining the club. The presentation is first-rate and they do offer a good product, but we just couldn´t afford to do it at this time of our life with twin babies. However, we did get two free cruises -- a Sunset Cruise and another snorkeling cruise. All in all, we had a delightful vacation. However I would not describe the hotel or Los Cabos in general as a great deal. To be able to relax and enjoy the trip more, I recommend considering the cost of a rental car into your vacation budget from the beginning and leaving the hotel to eat and do different things in neighboring towns.

Our May 2008 vacation was paradise. The food was delicious and not as expensive as we had heard. It is a 5 star resort and we can see why (everything from the appetizers to the desserts).Their chefs were excellent , as well was the wait staff. Every member of the Fiesta could not have been friendlier or nicer. Whatever you needed was right there. The weather was unbelivable, no rain or humidity just beautilful sunshine from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. To sit in a hot tub and look at the mountains and ocean was remarkable. It is not a long ride from the airport nor does it take long to go into Cabo. It is a town you feel safe. We would love to go back and hope that we will. S & R, Pitsbrugh, PA

We stayed there November 2007, for family vacation we are FA owners first time to Cabo San Lucas. Our only disappointment was when we went to eat dinner in one of the resorts resturants, we were dressed casual ,as most people do on vacation, and a man at the resturant who said he was the manager told us "we could not eat there because we were not "dressed correctly" we were furious considering we were owners there. We spoke to someone at front desk who said anyone could eat at any of the resturants.. That aside we had a great time on vacation , did think the food was priced high, but other that that our condo was fabs. S& K Cannon

This hotel is gorgeous. The natural beauty of Cabo surrounds you-- birds, animals, whales, lizards -- all drop by to say hello. The sky, moon and stars light up the night in a luxurious setting. It is a true paradise! There is a a bonfire lit at night where you can have drinks and listen to a guitarplayer who plays and sings romantic songs. The beds were extremely comfortable. The food is good although everything is expensive but- after all -you are here on vacation. We highly recommend this hotel, but come with your special guy/girl because the romance will sweep you away.
