Super 8 Motel - Mishawaka South Bend Area, Mishawaka

I'm still so mad at my husband for ever booking a room at this place. But I know that since we were going to travel with our pets there was not much of a choice for him to make.Here's our little story.. We arrived at the hotel around 2 am last week and had reserved a suite. We got our key and walked to the room only to have the key not work. We went back to the office and got a working key card and went in to the room. I was about to scream when I saw the filthy kitchen, food left overs in the refg, sticky kitchen floors, big stain the stool, dirty countertops etc. etc. I thought at first there was someone staying in there. We immediately ran to the office and told the guy there the room had never been cleaned. He said oh maybe housekeeping forgot!!! He said he can either put us in a different room for one night and have the original room cleaned up well the next day or we can still stay in there and he'd give us a 10% off. My husband and I decided to check the other hotels around there unfortunately no one accepted pets so we had to return to this dump. We also had told our friends to meet us there the next day so we didn't have a lot of choice. We took a smaller room which wasn't very clean either. The sheets had bad smell, old worn out towels, all kinds of trash underneath the beds etc. The next day they switched us back to the suite and I inspected the room before we moved in there. Even though it was a little better I still went and bought bunch of cleaning supplies and did a little cleaning myself during our stay.... I saw the housekeeping crew which consisted of a dad, mother and a little boy running in and out of the rooms all day. the continental breakfast they claimed to have was nothing more than a cereal and coffee. Overall this was the worst place I've ever stayed at. I would never go back to this place even if they offered me a free vacation.
