Mantra Sun City, City of Gold Coast

We stayed at the mantra sun city for a week not to long ago. The Apartment was nice but the hotel was unclean and the service was poor, paticually at the bar near the pool. My main complaint would be that the pools where unclean and all the tables outside it where very greasy and had rubbish surronding them. the location is average but if it is your first time traveling to the gold coast, spent a little more money and stay in a hotel in broad beach or stay somewhere like chevron renaconce where if you didnt want to leave the resort, you really wouldn't have too. Next time i vist Qld i will be going to brisbane. No Offence to anyone, but the gold coast is boring and bogan.

We had a fabulous time at this hotel, we booked over the net from NZ and requested ocean view with extra bedding. Everything was as expected when we arrived. The rooms was clean, spacious for our family of 5. The indoor and outdoor pools were the absolutely clincher for this holiday. The outdoor spa was lovely to sit in at night although I do think they went overboard with the chlorination. We will definitely come back and stay. Bobby at the front desk was very helpful and informative as well.

i love the pool i love how it would take care of your kids everything was so clean the people were always so nice thay would say hello when ever you walked past it was just the environment they had set it i made you feel at home so much and i mean it the view was perfect the rooms were so clean i had breakfast with my husband and two kids every day at the beautiful restrant at sun city but i have to say the thing i found the worst was leaving but i hope to go back soon i am saving now!!!!

We spent 9 nights in the Outrigger Sun City a few years ago. Unfortunately, the experience wasnt great but the apartment and the facilities were fantastic!!! We had booked a 2 bedroom with air conditioning (I was surprised at the time that not all apartments in a 4 and half star resort werent air conditioned - especially in a hot climate) and on check in were put in a one bedroom without air conditioning (even though we had booked and paid in full for a two with air). This was rectified after alot of exasperation and upset on my part the next day. However, after filling up our fridge on the first day at an exhorbitant cost at the local 7 11, the staff who moved our belongings the next day threw out our groceries in error and the hotel was reluctant to reimburse us because I had thrown away the receipt. There was not enough staff to cope with the influx of complaints by people nor was the poolside cafe manned with enough staff to cope with demands. And yet again, the facilities were so superb that we are giving it another go next January, 2008 - will let you know how that turns out. Dont be put off by this. Everyone deserves a second chance and this may have just been our bad luck first time around. The apartments are huge and the number of swimming pools means that no-one is getting in eachother's way and couples can opt for the privacy of the plunge pool and people that dont like the kids splashing can use the huge indoor heated pool. It really is a first rate establishment in that regard. Enjoy your trip!

You will not be disappointed with this resort. Suncity is so beautiful inside and out great for the family and also a great for a romantic holiday. GREAT FOR ALL!!
