Great Weekend Getaway for the Portland Area!!

My wife and I decided on this hotel when we finally had a weekend with the kids away with their grandparents. Since it had been about two years since we'd done anything like this, we splurged and got a fifth floor suite. The room was spotless, featured a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and robes and slippers for both of us. The bed was very comfy and the bedroom included a flat screen TV. I've now stayed at three Indian casino hotels in Oregon and this is by far the best. Chinook Winds is on the ocean, but the last time I stayed there, we got a room that smelled like an orgy was going on in there the night before. I'd rather stay at Spirit Mountain and drive the twenty some odd miles to the coast. As for the previous comment about the Casino, most casinos do tend to be for amusement only...anyone who treats them as anything else should probably place a call to gamblers anonymous.

This is an amusement only casino

We tried to speak with a casino host, he was busy and didn't want to talk to us. Usually we like to find a host, we play quite a bit since we are retired and have large income. The $3000 in play we did (which doesn't take long) earned enough points to pay for part of one chicken fried steak dinner. We have no idea why staff there is so unhappy but they sure do seem to be that way. We did hit one machine for the doulbe bars, that was the best win in $3000 worth of play. Tightest house we have ever been in except for the Venetian in Reno. Thinking it might have been just a bad day, we went back once more with the exact same results.
