Smiles aplenty, service gone missing

I arrived at the Marriott Brisbane on 515 Queen St a few days ago for a conference, and paid a bit extra to have a nice room on the 21st floor. The room was quiet and of high quality for the price, with nice furnishings and a huge bath and shower. The workout room and pool were both good as well.
Unfortunately, the service was about as bad as I have ever had at any hotel I've been to over the past 15 years. The front desk, concierge, and restaurant room service regularly failed to answer the phone, the morning breakfast failed to arrive every day I ordered it, and the cleaning lady walked in with the privacy tag on the door.
As well, the prices were beyond expectations for food and amenities in Brisbane, with $24 for a hamburger, $6.50 for a cup of coffee and $30/day for wired Internet services.
Sorry, but there are better places to stay in Brisbane.
