Steer Clear

I stayed at the Virginia Beach Fairfield Inn for one night at the end of August. The room was nice enough--clean, big, etc. I liked that the hotel was right on the beach. It was the service, however, that was abysmal. To make a long story short, the hotel confused my stay with someone else's and ended up charging me nearly ten times what I paid. I was unable to have access to that money for two weeks. When I called the Fairfield Inn over and over, the managers were either rude or in "meetings" all day. I have never dealt with such horrible customer service at a hotel. No one ever apologized to me or acted any way other than "no big deal; get over it." Basically, the hotel was nice enough but nothing special and certainly not worth all of the hassle I have put up with since. Stay here at your own risk--and hope that they don't accidentally charge you for someone else's room!
