"Plant City Still A Rural Town."
By "goodoleboy", 05/28/09
I have stayed at this Comfort in in Plant City, FL on numbers of occasions
as I grew up in the town. The Comfort Inn was very nice for Plant City.
The town however as much as I love it still has a bit of "redneck" rural
charm. It would be a great town to host the "Blue Collar Tour." It has
some fancy subdivisions like Walden Lake and others. That being said
however there is saying "you can't take the country out of the boy."
The same can be said of Plant City. The town could add 10 more Walden
Lakes and you still could not take the rural country or should I say
"redneck" country out of Plant City. Being a rural town it will always be
no matter how large its population grows. That will always be its charm.
As other Florida towns and cities become progressive Plant City will always be behind them. I think the cities residents like it that way and
want to keep it that way.
