Made my trip!
By Kyle, 12/29/08
I enjoyed my stay at Casa Iguana. The location is only a 15 minute bus ride to downtown. The beach across from this hotel, isn't too exciting. It is located in a neat area outside of the rush downtown. I suggest this to my family and friends. The rooms are all two bedroom suites. The living room area is nice with a TV and couch. The rooms all have air conditioning with remotes. Clean, friendly staff, refreshing, and authentic.

No air conditioning
By Laura, 1/1/09
When I first walked in this seemed like a nice place for the money. I tryed the micheladas and ther were ok, I've had better. The pool was crowded and the spa smells like dirty water. The hotel is not by the beach. You have to cross the main highway to get to the beach. The room looked clean. There are 3 air conditioners with remote controls in each room but none of them work. They work only as a fan and even in December it is hot and stuffy in the rooms. I let the lady in the front desk know and she said she would get someone out to fix it. After 3 hrs, nothing. I called her again, she said she would tell the manager and call me and call me back. No one came by and no one ever called me back. My family and I woke up in the middle of the night, we were dripping in sweat and it was very stuffy. We oppened the front door to let the room air out and noticed other people also had their front doors open. We checked out immediately the next day. Believe me, for this price you should be able to sleep through the night. There are plenty of well prices hotels that are right on the beach and have working air conditioners. I engoyed the Playa Del Sol Costa Sur for about the same price and right on the beach.

Authentic mexican Hospitality and Cuisine
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/7/08
This hotel rests in the southern part of Puerta Vallarta. The hotel is very clean, well run and offers an excellent proximity to local attractions. You can't beat the price. If you are looking for the all inclusive deals stay North by the airport,But, if you want to experience Mexico, this is a very authentic location. try the new restaurant at the hotel-Boca Biento...outstanding with great managers.

Good Value - Great Staff
By Robert, 2/7/06
Located only minutes (by car) from Puerto Vallarta, I found this hotel to be a reasonably-priced, cozy and quiet destination. My two-bedroom suite was roomy and clean. The restaurant was nice and the food was good (although the service was somewhat below typical American standards). Overall, I experienced a beautiful hotel with an extremely friendly and helpful staff who seemed willing to go out of their way to make my stay enjoyable.

Away from the tourists
By Alicia, 5/18/05
This place is about 15 minutes south of Old Puerto Vallarta (10 minutes in a car or 20 in the bus) in Mismaloya. It's a cute, traditional Mexican-style hotel that is very family friendly. All rooms have kitchenettes. One block from an okay beach, but also close to many great jungle and beach attractions (such as Yelapa). Away from the crowds and tourists (but also inconvenient to restaurants and nightlife). Very clean, but the pool can get murky if there are lots of guests. Usually frequented by Mexican families on vacation from Guadalajara. They have a good restaurant and an internet cafe. I highly reccomend for people on a budget who like to get off the beaten track, but not for people looking for a resort...
