Best Hotel Stay
The Hampton Inn of Downtown Cleveland is an excellent hotel. It is centrally located in the heart of the city, near the mall, convention center and across from a church. The view was spectacular, with skyscrapers and Lake Erie looking picturesque together in the same frame.
I arrived late, at 1am, and were greeted courteously by the valet, who doubled as a doorman. When we arrived our rooms were ready and we parked out car, conveniently across the street at $13 a day. I was amazed at the room, it was spacious, with am additional sofa, oversized bed and a colossal window of the city. The sofa doubled as a bed, supporting an additional 2 people, on top of the 3 people already supported by the bed. The bathroom was very large, with a tub, and triangular shaped sink. The breakfast was all inclusive with the room, complete with bagels, eggs, biscuits, cereal, doughnuts, fruit and yogurt. On the way out I wanted to sleep in, but check-out is at 12:00. I called the front desk and they let me stay till 3:00, with no problem, showing they care about their guests. They also offer a 100% refund policy if your not completely satisfied.
It is on the same level as the Sheraton City Centre, except that doesnt offer free breakfast or same level of service as the Hampton Inn. However the Marriot at Key Center occupies the largest building in Cleveland making it seem appealing.
I got the room via hotwire.com at $41.00 per night. I assumed a cheap hotel, but left with the best stay at any hotel. The room rates as follows:
Standard Rate : 120.00
Hotels.com : 123.00
AAA rate : 98.10
Hotwire :41.00
