Lorimer Ridge Lodge, Whistler

My family just spent a week (July 09) at the Lorimer Ridge property at Whister. Whistler is incredible, the house is not. Don't expect luxury in the bedding or the furnishings, as they are very basic. The main kitchen is very small, about what you would expect to find in a 3 bedroom house. The dishwasher broke down on our second day, and couldn't be repaired during our stay. We were allowed to use the laundry facilities for one day, but only after begging for the use, as it is not included in the rental. We were not allowed the use of the garage to store our bikes, as it is also not included with the rental. The deck, hot tub, and backyard are very nice. The location is great. The young lady that lives in the house is very helpful, and did her best to make our stay comfortable. I would be hesitant about giving this accomodation more than a two star rating. Definitely not worth the $9000+ pricetag that we paid for a weeks stay. Maybe half that price would be more what the property is worth.
