Ambassador Inn At Marquette, Milwaukee

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at Sweethoteldeals. Net They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

The receptionist kept telling everyone about their 4star service.....yadyadayada I guess she only ment when you call to make the reservation. We sat in the loby for 15 minutes listening to her take phone calls, she didn't pay any attention to the people that had been waiting on the cab she called prior to that. Over all; if you can't afford the real Ambassador on Wisconsin, this place will do just fine. Close to McDonald's and Michael's Rest; so party down here for Rave/Eagle's Ballroom or Brewer Game visits.

Clean, friendly. No frills but a clean generally quiet place to call home for a weekend. Casino 5 minutes away. Downtown a quick car ride into the heart of Milwaukee. Student apts kiddie corner across the street kept us up one night but whattaya want your in Marquette. Would stay there again.

I booked this hotel for a place to sleep and hang out until we went to our concerts each night and because it was close to the downtown area. I regret it. I would of rathered stayed in my car. I booked and confirmed a non-smoking room, which I did not get. I had to check-in across the street, which meant taking all my luggage over there also. None of the vending machines were operating (food and drink). When checking in, we had to wait 45 minutes before a room was cleaned (even after the check-in time of 3:00pm - we arrived at 3:45). When arriving in our room, we could do nothing but laugh. There were over 20 cigarettes burns in the carpet and furniture, and the bathroom counter even had them. There were two beds. We could only use one. The other one was broke. If you sat on it, you might as well just sat on the floor because thats how close you were. The door frame was pulled out and cracked like the door had been kicked in. There were no trash bags in the trash cans (sanitary napkins?). Minor problems: no kleenex, heat/vent in bathroom did not work, no toilet seat cover (dropped lipstick in the toilet), no alarm clock or even just a clock, and we had three moths flying around the room. The hotel is on the corner of 23rd Street and Wisconsin. Summerfest was 6 streets past 1st street and then 3 blocks south. By bus it took us a half hour to get there. Walking takes at least 30 minutes and thats if you are a fast pace walker. We causually walked and it took us an hour.

We loved our stay here!! They are close to alot of things and they even offer a shuttle to summerfest!! We thought that our stay was great and will keep going back!!
