Terrible Treatment
We called ahead to cancel our reservation at 2:00pm the day of the intended stay. We had gotten farther on our trip than had been planned. I was told that THEY required I cancel by 4:00pm the DAY BEFORE the intended stay. When My son went in to discuss this with the manager, he said, well he could let us go and not charge us the full amount if we would give him $25.00. My son said NO, and we ended up staying there. It was noisy, and we felt that he had strong armed us in to staying, as I found out later, all I had to say was the room was not acceptable to us within the first 30 minutes of seeing it. The manager was only wanting to line his pocket. I would not recommend this hotel. The beds were not comfortable, they used flat sheets instead of fitted for the bottom, so your sheet didn't stay put while you slept. However the room was clean. I was very upset that the ChoiceHotels Corporation would allow this kind of treatment from one of it's hotels. I called the corporate office and was told there was nothing they could do. Next time, I will stay at Holiday Inn Express... I am never dissapointed by them.
