If I return to Milwaukee, I'd stay here, maybe.
I was in Milwaukee for two nights (6/17/08 & 6/18/08) The rooms are small. The hotel staff was okay. When I asked where to park, I was directed to a $12 a day lot. When I asked whether or not I'd be able to leave and reenter with out any problems, I was directed to the $10 lot next door to the building. It wasn't exactly helpful. The building itself wasn't bad. I believe it is on the Historic Register. I didn't try the on site restaurant. The hotel is very close to everything downtown, i.e., River Walk, the Lakefront, Art Museum, Wisconsin Cheese Mart, Usinger's, Shopping Mall, Miller Park, State Fair Grounds, and the Miller Brewing Company is a short drive away.
The elevators were dirty every morning, i.e., beer cans and cups, like what one might expect of fans returning from a ball game. But other than that, housekeeping was alright. It was too bad there wasn't a pool or breakfast of some sort. It was a good bargain, though, overall, and, I would stay there again. Afterall, Milwaukee is a fun town and has charm.
