Sleep Inn at Carowinds, Fort Mill

I liked this hotel because the rooms were clean, no noise to disturb me and my family's sleep, and the breakfast was delicious. They have a waffle maker, cereal, and much more. I always stay here when I come to visit South Carolina, which is atleast twice a year! The staff was friendly and the location is safe and affordable.

My husband found hair on the sheets on his bed, went down to front desk, got clean sheets and changed the bed himslef. Not what we would call a great night at this Sleep Inn. Management not checking on maid service or hiring people who don't care about cleaniness. Would not stay here again. S. B.

No disturbances caused by a bus full of teenagers. Front desk people were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. It was worth the money and a good location.

If you travel with family of 4, all of you had better enjoy sleeping together in the same bed. This hotel does not allow rollaway beds! We travel a LOT, and have never been denied a rollaway for a little one. Every hotel in America accomodates a rollaway. I guess that families with small children cannot stay there. It is the DUMBEST policy ever, and it is unique to this hotel, which is across the street from children's amusement park!

Great location, nice & clean rooms and a well trained staff.We enjoyed our stay for 3 nights at this hotel. Breakfast was excellent, well organised and set. Room was resonably priced compared to other expensive hotels in the area. We would recommend this to everyone & anyone.

Ok, First I must say they don't have enough people on staff to help you when you need extra things, towels, coffee, etc... They have a great continental breakfast, but were terrible at replenishing the items when they ran out. The pool is small, but the place is clean. I have stayed at this hotel about 5 times in the last 3 years and I suppose I didn't go anywhere different because I was use to being there and knew it's location. Recently I wanted to give my daughter and grandson a present..yes..a trip to Carowinds and was given an awfully hard time about using my credit card to pay for the room. This was due to the fact that I would not be accompaning them on the trip. I was told that I had to fill out an authorization form and fax it back to them. They requested me to put down all my financial information including my entire credit card number and demographic information. I was to fax a copy of my drivers license and my credit card (both front and back as well). I had already booked the room for them online, and my daughter has a drivers license and credit card for identification purposes. All I could think was, "what if someone walks by and picks up my information or my information basically ends up in the wrong hands?. I could mis-dial the number for example. So, I called the Best Western next door and 'walla!" I had their room and all she needed to show was her I.D. I will no longer be staying with Sleep Inn nor will any members of my family. I spoke directly to management and still couldn't get them to allow me to mark out a few numbers on the credit card for safety purposes. The front desk people were very rude and unreasonable when discussing this.

Our family of four just visited for two nights while at Carowinds. The rate of $59.99 was a great value. The rooms are small, but we were only in them to sleep. The hotel is right at the gate to Carowinds and there's a Cracker Barrell restaurant beside the hotel. The rooms were clean and included a frig and microwave. The continental breakfast was typical hotel fare, but the breakfast room was pretty small and there's not a table in the hotel room. Families with small children may want to consider that there was no tub in our room, only a shower. The walls are thin, but the hotel has a strict no disturbance policy. A call to the front desk should take care of it.

Nice size room, clean , beds where only fair . Nice breakfast bar in AM, coffe and juice allday as well. Great location near the interstate.
