BEST WESTERN Executive Suites, Columbus

We had to be at the hospital for my nephew's surgery at 5 a.m. and we are 1 & 1/2 hours from the hospital. We chose to stay over night in Columbus. The staff here is excellent and help with whatever you need. The rooms were exceptionally clean with a very nice set up. Their pool & pool area was clean & well maintained. I only have one dislike & that is the shower had a few cob webs at the top & should have a little more attention given in that area but in all the bathroom was clean! I would highly recommend this hotel for your travel needs.

Called hotel directly to make reservation and asked for ground floor room. Told the lady on the phone that I had a 5 yo and a 10 month old. Arrived and was told we were on second floor. After putting our bags in room I ran down the street to pick up food since we had driven for 12 hours. As I returned to our room found my wife crying saying front desk had called and person below us was complaining about our kids making noise. She was told that if we could not keep our kids quiet we would have to leave. I phoned front desk and explained to the clerk that it was only 7:45 pm and we had been in the car all day. I also informed her that I had requested a ground floor room for this reason. I was once again informed that if we could not keep our kids from making noise we would be asked to leave. She informed me that the people in the rooms below us had a very important business meet early in the morning and were already trying to sleep. About 10 minutes later the actual hotel manager phoned our room and once again informed us that we would be asked to leave if our kids continued to make noise. (Gee, funny, they are lying in the bed watching tv, no noise here) The next morning I met the people downstairs to apologize for the noise, only to find out they are regular guests at the hotel one week each month. Their business meeting was bass fishing on the lake there. When the manager arrived I went to speak to her and was informed it was best if we could locate other lodging. At that point we went and packed our bags and checked out of the hotel. the Wingate was more than happy to have our business and will always have our business from this point on.

Customer service was the best. The rooms were clean. The water was hot, forceful, and refreshing. Clean towels and bedding. The staff was nice and attentive. Not to mention the fresh hot breakfast every morning. Pool clean and indoors. It was a wonderful experience. Special thanks to the management and staff. Keep up the good work.
