dont think we will bother going back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/11/08
the hotel was clean and tidy all around the public areas but the maids who cleaned the rooms could have done a lot better, we found dirty cups were left every day for us to wash and the beds were hurridly made etc. As in britain we are used to no smoking inside places this restricted what non smokers were able to do in and around the hotel as people smoked everywhere. There was only 1 area for entertainment which was smoke filled every evening

Best Holiday Ever!!
By helen, 10/26/07
Just got back couple of weeks ago, i was with a party of about 20 for a wedding, the hotel is perfect and in a perfect location by the beach. Rooms were cleaned everyday, food was lovely, service was great. The hotel was amazing there is plenty of entertainment so you barely have to leave the hotel. The hotels wedding co-ordinator took care of everything and the it was a perfect day! Pool are is great and there are areas to sunbathe on grass areas with palms trees leading down to private beach area. We could not fault this hotel expect the price of drinks on an evening. Fab hotel would definatly go back.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/20/07
we were sent 2 the st george instead of going 2 limmosol.the hotel is very clean, food ok,maids very nice that cant be said about the waitress never smiled.it was costing us 12 pounds a round for 2 pints + 4 small cokes so its very expensive.started going out 2 the few pubs outside the hotel. weather was boiling 45 degrees ,entertainment was crap .wouldnt go back there. coral bay is gorgeous plenty 2 do there.u ave got 2 hire a car ,we booked it opposite the hotel much cheaper + it was brand new !!one good tho is their beach, the locals use it in the evenings, but thats no probs cos u ave ad enuff of the sun by then .

4a platinum you will be sorry
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/07
after reading the fantastic reviews on this hotel,my sister chose it for her wedding 1/08/07.we have stayed all over the world in 3 4 5 star hotels this was definately overrated, tired decor old fashioned ,staff obviously didnt enjoy their work they were unfriendly, sullen and service was appalling, especially the beach bar.the rooms were small and dingy, even though we paid extra for a full sea view (which we didnt get)unless you count standing to one side of the balcony and peering round the side.we had to ring reception many times because we had no milk, towels pillows, robes etc,the food was good, until you realised you were always eating the left overs from the previous meal.dining areas were like school cafeterias.the meals and drinks are very expensive £4.00 for a vodka and coke the other problem is you dont pay as you eat you are encouraged to run up a tab until the end of your stay which can be quite usefull however beware whilst we were there an argument broke out and management had realised a group of people were billing there food and drinks to other peoples rooms as there is no system in place to prevent this. the weather was fantastic, unfortunately the air conditioning wasnt it was terrible.on leaving your rooms the air con was disconnected automatically, the rest of the hotel was as bad it was only switched on a few hours a day and in 45 degrees this was unacceptable for a hotel with a platinum rating.there are far to many weddings i felt sorry for my sister as she was hurried around it is literally a conveyor belt of weddings and considering the amount of money they charge for these dream weddings its a farce even the priest was rude, not to mention the so called wedding planner now to the politics of haidressing which i got caught up in,the bride and four bridesmaids had their hair done at hotel atlantica ,i made an appointment at christinas hair salon at the saint george, the other bridesmaids had previously spoke to christina but decided because of the price and attitude to stick with andrea at the atlantica.i turned up on the day at 11.30am for my appointment and was rudely told she couldnt do my hair( this was three hours before the wedding)i told her i had an appointment ,she questioned me about where my sisters had gone and wether they had a hairdresser in the room obviously annoyed they had gone elsewhere, she point blank refused to honour my appointment then locked the shop up and walked away.as you can imagine i was so upset ,one phone call later andrea had agreed to keep her shop open especially for me and i jumped in a taxi and andrea saved the day thankyou andrea!!so all you brides out there beware!!! do not believe the dream wedding scenario,it doesnt exist at the st george

Never again BB Manchester June 07
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/9/07
This Hotel falls short of its 5 Star status Although food was plentyfull it was just variations of those previously presented. The room would have had a sea view which paid extra for had we cut the trees down

Excellent Hotel
By JAMES, 6/4/07
After reading the reviews of the St.George Hotel,I think anyone that complains about this hotel is someone that can never be happy with anything!!!! How anyone can say its for old people is an absolute joke! *Brilliant Location (5 min bus ride from main town) *Huge variety of food (eg. breakfast: fruit, cereal, continental and full english!!) *Constant entertainment for both kids and adults throughout the day and evening *Private beach *Clean rooms, maids do a exceptional job! Would definately recommend for families or couples! This will be my 3rd holiday this year! Its now upto you to make your mind up...!
