A very very bad deal.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/10/09
We attended our grandson's graduation from IU and was planning to stay 2 nights at Eagle Pointe. We had a 2 bedroom condo. 2 couples and my granddaughter. They had a roll away bed but the springs touched the floor and the beding was rolled up inside and dirty. Their was no hot water in the small bathroom, when the other shower was running. We were told that a gas grill was available, it was but it was so gross that it was beyond cleaning. The two night room rate with tax was $540.00, We stayed one night and left the next mourning and asked for a refund but it was denied. Jerry Honegger dated May 8 & 9

Excellent & Memorable
By Sierra and Rhys, 07/31/08
The staff was more than memorable!!!! We stayed in a two bedroom unit on the lake at $259 a night but got a discount(10%) because my husband played golf! The course was gorgeous! (even if I don't play golf I can still admire something well maintained!) The pool & 'tiki' bar was nice to have as we played at the pool, we didn't have to leave the entire day-lunch and dinner right there! The food was fantastic with faster than expected service. We liked the fact we could rent a boat and go out on the lake for an entire day (seperate from the resort, about a mile away is Fourwinds Marina, where we rented the boat from) it felt very rewarding that an entire trip that I planned for my family went off without a hitch! ( I have to thank my lucky stars-haha- for the weather! I felt it was the only thing I didn't buy and it made our stay that much more perfect!

Horrible Horrible
By Colleen, 10/31/07
We have stayed at the Pointe every year for an IU football weekend for the past 10 years or so. Sometimes the condo units have been nice, other years quite dated and worn, but since it was the only place near Bloomington that could house our large crew, we've kept coming back. This year was a mixed bag as far as the condo units were concerned, but the service was horrible. Hours after checking out we realized that we had left our young son's teddy bear and a very nice adult's Nike jacket behind. We promptly called to report the items that we were certain we left behind, and were told it would take several days for them to thoroughly clean the unit, but that someone would call us back if they found the items (that, again, we were certain we'd left behind). Nobody ever called. After many, many frustrating phone calls and after being told several times by the front desk that nothing was found and that the items simply weren't there, we finally got somebody to go over to the unit a week later, who found the jacket that they had either overlooked a half dozen times or had simply never bothered at all to look for at all, hanging exactly were we had said it would be. They never did find the much-loved teddy bear, which we can only assume was thrown away by the housekeeping staff rather than being turned in to the front desk. Our phone calls to the front desk were maddening. When I spoke with the manager to finally have the jacket shipped to us (of course, we had to pay for that), I told him how disappointed we were with their service, only to be told by him that "Well, I haven't heard anything good about you either." It was icing on the cake to be told that WE were the rude ones, after suffering through their incompetence and paying well over a thousand dollars for the privilege of staying in two 3-bedroom condo units at a mediocre resort.

Indiana's best kept secret
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/07
Eagle Pointe is such a great area with lots to do! A Golf course with pro shop, swimming pools, tennis, biking, walking trails around Lake Monroe, restaurants and live entertainment just to name a few. The rolling hills and views of the lake from certain condos is spectacular. The real estate here is undervalued plus it is in a gated community. You have the option of renting a condo or buying your own slice of heaven. Faifax State Recreation area with a large beach AND the Four Winds Marina is right around the corner. Here you can rent a boat or rent a slip for your own boat. This is just south of Bloomington which offers even more.

Great piece of property surounded by the states largest lake, an outstanding championship golf course as well as fun for the whole family.

Beautiful, calm, quiet, great value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/26/05
My family and I have stayed at Eagle Pointe when visiting friends or relatives in Bloomington for years. The condos are immaculate, the service and food are outstanding, and the views are breathtaking. Definitely the best stay on Lake Monroe, in my opinion. Calm and quiet. Plan to drive 15-20 minutes to visit downtown Bloomington, however.
