Sully Mansion Bed & Breakfast Inn, New Orleans

I have stayed with Nancy and Guy numerous times over the past two years. They are gracious hosts and very accomodating. Recently they invested in painting the outside of the house and also in new gutters so it looks spectacular. The inside is clean, the beds are comfortable, the window units always help me sleep and cut out any noise that might be outside. The neighborhood is very quite and this B and B is the only B and B in the true garden district. It is well located and Nancy or Guy can steer you to the best places to eat....

Sully Mansion is perfectly situated for easy access to uptown, downtown and the French Quarter, one block from the St. Charles streetcar line and Mardi Gras parade route, and in the midst of the beautiful Garden District. The hosts could not be more gracious and accommodating, and their breakfasts are fresh, homemade and delicious. They are a wealth of information about restaurants, sights and attractions. The spacious front porch is a great place to drink your morning coffee or sip a cocktail on a sultry evening.

When you are in NOLA and you would rather sit on the porch than go to the quarter you know you have found a gem. We were totally nuts about this place- everything about it. If you drove up today you would see paint peeling on the front,(It is being painted now) but do not be deceived, this place is beautiful inside. The inn keepers are outstandidng; the food curls your toes; the beds are sublime; the decor very nice, unique and interesting, antique, charming. We had a little baby blue oval tub in our bath which would have been a flaw in any other context, but here it just added to the charm, especially when you discover that it has corner seat perfect for soaking your tired feet! The bonus program is Gracie, the Inn dog. When invited, she is very willing to jump up on the couch and keep you company! I will never stay anywhere else. Did I mention it is a block away from the street car so you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the Garden District and still get to the Quarter?

Nancy and Guy are wondeful hosts and have an endless supply of recommendations and advice to guide you during a visit to New Orleans. The rooms are beautiful and you really get a sense of welcome when visiting. Nancy puts together a very impressive, and healthy, breakfast each morning that tempts to overeat.

We spent two nights here after Christmas and really enjoyed our time. The Guy and Nancy were great hosts of the Sully Mansion and the city pointing us to the best restaurants and times to go there. The room was great and the breakfast simple and delicious.

Loved the place- it is on my list when i return. Guy and Nancy were great hosts, the breakfast was wonderful, rooms were beautiful, and the garden district area nice and secure- as a female traveling solo on business, i felt completely safe in the area.

My family held a reunion at the Sully Mansion. We found the proprieters, Nancy and Guy Fournier, to be a lovely, thoughtful and interesting couple. Nancy actually helped plan the event months in advance and made sure that each guest's needs were anticipated before their arrival. The B & B has been lovingly restored by its hosts, and is both elegant and comfortable. Many thoughtful touches and great attention to detail are evident throughout, making it even more delightful and inviting. (The rooms are far more beautiful than they appear in the website pictures.) Nancy and Guy love New Orleans and are more than happy to suggest places to go and provide directions. Their homemade breakfasts are wonderful. We left with Nancy's apple waffle recipe, and she packed a breakfast for the guests who left early. Needless to say, our event was a tremendous success and we all loved our stay at the Sully Mansion.

Sully Mansion New Orleans Finest In October 2007, my wife and I were surprisingly delighted to stay at the Sully Mansion in the garden district of New Orleans. Guy and Nancy, our terrific hosts more than went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable in Sully Mansion and New Orleans. Our charming room was nicely appointed. The bathroom adjoining the bedroom was in addition to being large and clean well functioning with the original period plumbing fixtures. At Breakfast, we were treated to a traditional New Orleans delight although one morning, we left Sully Mansion to eat a breakfast brunch at Commander’s Palace Restaurant (one of New Orleans’s finest and something not to miss with a jazz quartet playing at your table in the garden breakfast room) a short two blocks walk from the Bed & Breakfast. As a couple that has been truly fortunate to stay at some of the nicest hotels in the U.S. and the world, Sully Masion is a place not to miss. Peter & Shelley Boulder, Colorado

My 17 year old son and I stayed at the Sully Mansion February 13th through the 16th, 2008 and were thrilled to be there. It is the perfect place to stay in New Orleans--not an impersonal hotel in the Business District or a pricey (and noisy) French Quarter hotel. Located in the Garden District, which is quiet and filled with gorgeous homes, the location is easy to love. One block away,we rode the St. Charles streetcar Uptown to Tulane and down to the French Quarter. Nancy and Guy never tired of my questions about restaurants and clubs and made dinner reservations for us graciously. Breakfast was healthy and delicious and a fun time to chat with fellow guests. My son has just been accepted to Tulane, Class of 2012,and I know where I will be staying every time I come to visit him. I am reluctant to submit this review because it may help to impede the availability of reservations for me in the future! We highly recommend the Sully Mansion.
