Things do change
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/24/12
Well things must have really changed since 12/20/10! My wife and daughter booked a 2 night stay approx. 1 month in advance of their stay at this establishment. needless to say, without checking the reviews. The day before my wife and daughter were to check in I went on line to get the inn's address and discovered these very negative remarks. I was concerned and decided to contact the management. I spoke with a gentleman who I believe was the owner and he told me that, yes at that time there where issue that needed to be addressed but that the facilities have been revamped, problems dealt with and management proceedures corrected. My wife checked in at the appointed time, checked the room out thoroughly and found their room to be very clean, the staff caring and the continental breakfast very satisfying.

Not great
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/10
Our family of 4 picked this hotel because it was close to the Prime Outlets mall. The outside appearance was not impressive - broken planters and planters without flowers. I know it was October, but they could have placed mums out there for fall. The lobby inside looked worn, badly in need of sprucing up and basic maintenance, and overwhelmed you with clorine smell from the pool. The fireplace was not going either. The room was clean, but there was a broken tile and a loose tile in the entry of the bathroom, the newer style shower curtain rod was pulling out of the wall which made the shower curtain open while showering, the air conditioner (old style with push buttons and no temp reading near the window) wouldn't work during the night, the floor lamp wobbled and was pitted on the base, and then the toilet clogged after the 2nd time using it. The staff brought a plunger to our room and offered to do it for me, but I chose to do myself. I thought it was nice that the plunger was in a plastic bag until I began to remove the bag. Water (who knows where from) came out a hole in the bag and ran over my hand and feet and the floor. At least I managed to unclog the toilet so we could use it. We didn't stay for breakfast either. They had waffles as the only "hot" item. We decided to catch a real breakfast on the way home. It seems like they are hurting for money. This seems surprising since we paid less at Holiday Inn Express in Auburn Hills the night before and had a great hotel for $26 less.

HORRIBLE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/21/10
The fumes from the pool chemicals were unbearable, the staff was less than helpful, and the room was dirty. When I complained, the staff said thanks and they would look into it. I received a letter later in the mail saying that my concerns had been noted, but no compensation for our terrible time there. This hotel should be inspected by the health department. TERRIBLE PLACE TO STAY.

use to be better
We use to stay a night for our girls winter break, never again. The last couple of years the chemicals in the pool and jacuzzie have been so strong it has tarnished our jewelry and set off an asthma attack in one of our girls. We complained the first year and they said they agreed and would check into it. The second year nothing changed, they gave us a $5 credit...whoopie! If you don't plan on using the ammenities, it's not bad, more convenient than anything. Good luck.

Bad Night's Sleep
By Lady Di, 9/30/07
The facility was a good value for the money except for the horrible mattresses! The mattresses were extra soft and extremely uncomfortable! I would not stay there again because of the mattresses. On the other hand, check in and check out was easy, the continental breakfast was great, staff was polite, and of course it was very close to the outlet mall.

Will never go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/9/07
We stayed here in Spring of 2007.The room was discusting I clean for a living and I had to clean my room.there was hair in the sheets.and the tiolet.. was a mess, the sink was dirty. The hot tub was filled with children with ride on float toys for hrs and staff did nothing. The breakfast if u can call it that was lousy.I stayed 2 days as I could not get another room A few days later when I talked to the manager I was offered a coupon for 50% off a nights stay but I was dissatisfied both my nights so it was agreed that I would book a 2 night stay and recieve 50% OFF WHICH WOULD BE I NIGHT FREE WELL WHEN I ARRIVED NOT HAPPENING.SO I left after much disagreement and got a room at another local hotel where I was treated with respect and the rooms are great and clean.I will never go back to county inns and suites.
