Country Inn By Carlson Ankeny IA, Ankeny

This hotel is in Ankeny, just North of Des Moines. You can see it from the road, but it was a little hard to get to, but there are good places to eat nearby, an Outback Steakhouse, for one. The hotel is new, clean, and the staff is very nice. I got there late one night because I was too tired to drive home to Waterloo, and the Holiday Inn Express nearby was not helpful in redeeming my frequent stay points on short notice. So I went to the Country Inn and Suites. Nick, the night manager called the customer service number and set me right up. The bed was confortable, the breakfast was great, I highly recommend it! I travel a lot, and usually have plenty to complain about. :)
