Luxury at large
By ,
The sense of arrival talks of bespoke service with an representative greeting you at the aerobridge and assisting you all the way into the limo and off to the hotel. The check in was smooth and efficient and Peter the Butler introduced himself and the room to us. We stayed in a Diplomat room, an over-sized room with great features. Breakfast in the dining room is great and don't miss a visit the Press Club Bar - walking sown the line of past celebrities and more. The hotel is very classic and the staff are very friendly and well trained which makes a visit to China and Beijing so much more comfortable creating a wonderful base to return to after a long day out and about. Recommend for both business and leisure - great location and fab hotel!

Excellent Choice in Beijing
By ,
St. Regis is a true winner in Beijing. Rooms are spacious and modern with all the amenities expected of a 5 star hotel. Some of the nicer touches include umbrellas in the room (we had a major downpour on one of the days in Beijing, but did not pack an umbrella so made good use of the umbrellas in the room), bottled waters daily, vey knowledgable concierge.... Located near all the major embassies and just far enough away from major Blvd, it provides a haven for relaxation after a day of sightseeing and work. Butler service is excellent and the spa/health club/pool is one of the best in Asia. Large indoor pool, sauna/steam room, and well equipped gym.

better than a steel workers union hall
By ,
last time i was in Beijing(1984) We got bumped out of our hotel and spent the night in a chinese steel-workers union hall. This time I stayed in a private butller suite at the St. Regis. My! How China's changed. It was a great experience.
