Hampton Inn Charltsv Univ, Charlottesville

We were visting the area to try out some local vineyards, and I've been to many Hampton Inn & Suites and was always satisfied.. This one is a different story completely. The concierge was rude, and this hotel did not have a pool, jacuzzi, fitness center, safe/microwave/refrigerator in rooms, and we were given a very small bland room with 2 small double beds for my husband and I for $120.. rip off! I've stayed at some really nice Omni's and Embassy's for that price. Also, don't give them your credit card information over the phone. They're supposed to have it just to reserve or "hold" your room, and they actually charged mine without authorization for $150. If I wasn't in such a hurry to get out of that place I would've complained to no end. Waste of money.

I loved the location of this hotel. It was very convenient to get to downtown or the university area. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. It was also great to have free wireless internet and a hot breakfast.

I can't say that my experience at the Hampton was horrible, but it could have been more pleasant. I called both the front desk and told the housekeeper about the bug situation but it was never resolved. And I guess the hotel can not exclude Rock bands from the premises, but why they let them play music late at night is beyond me.

I really don't know where to begin! There was absolutely nothing that was not just what I needed and wanted during my nine day stay at the Charlottesville Hampton Inn and Suites. My husband was having complicated back surgery at the UVA Medical Center and I needed a home-like, friendly place that was close to the main hospital. The Inn gave me a good rate on a suite that was a complete, small apartment and I found myself saying "I'm going home now" several times when I left the hospital. The staff was absolutely super. They were concerned about my husband and always asked how he was doing. The were friendly, courteous and always accomodating. The shuttle back and forth to the hospital meant so much to me; however, the location allowed me to walk in about 10 minutes. The laundry room was clean and convenient, the lobby beautiful, the access to internet appreciated and the morning breakfast very good. There is no doubt that if I stay in Charlottesville again I will stay at this Inn. My advice -- book early. It is a popular place and a great location for restaurants, the University, Main Street and the hospital.

The service was impeccable. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The location was also very convenient. I would highly recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites to anyone staying in the Charlottesville area.

My wife had to go to the uva for medical testing so we stayed at this hotel for two nights with my daughter and we loved it, the staff was very friendly, room service was great, it was very clean and you couldn't hear any outside noise and my wife felt at home, it had a nice breakfast selection and my daughter just loved all the hot coco!
