we had a really good holiday
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/24/08
The only disappointing thing for us was no outside bar to sit at in the evening. We prefer to be outdoors in the evening the only place to sit was in the animation theatre which at times was noisy, windy or hot. The lobby was hot and the inside bar was always crowded. Rooms, beach, cleaniness and service all excelent.

BRILLIANT HOLIDAY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/25/08
First time to Eygpt and the conrad. Absolutely fantastic holiday. The entertainment team were first class - we miss the cocktail game !!! Hi to Adam, Helen and little Ella. The staff were first class- couldn't do enough for you, special thank-you to both Waels - our room cleaner and the pool attendant, excellent service. We paid extra for a premium room with seaview and jacuzzi - lovely room but the jacuzzi bath was a dissappointment and not worth the extra money - its just a normal bath with a few jets in it - i would advise just paying for a premium room with sea view forget the jacuzzi. Hotel is situated quite far from the main resort but this is no problem because there is so much to do that you don't want to venture far and Naama bay can get too much with the hassling. The only complaint we have is that the all-inclusive bar finishes too ealry at 11pm - should be at least midnight- no-one wants to go to bed at 11pm on holiday!

Snorkeling Heaven
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/07
The Conrad is the place to go for a wonderful underwater adventure ( or if your budget stretches a little more the upbudget baron hotel complex alongside) At the northern part of the beach the coral reef extends within 20metres of the beach but the main reef can be readily reached on a 150m floating pontoon. You can see the majority of the fish without even getting your feet wet, but it is well worth the extra effort of snorkelling or diving. All the tour boats from the Sharm area congregate offshore, thats how good it is. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly. There is a wide choice of buffet food but much the same every day. The drinks are unrecognisable to british palet but refreshing and water bottles are always available. Drawbacks are the loud music they insist on playing around the main pool and on the beach but these are easy to get away from. Not so easy is the loud noise from the evening "entertainment " which percolates throughout the hotel which thankfully finished at 11pm. The bar on the rooftop was closed and there were not many seats in the lounge / bar areas. My other complaint was the bomb craters on the tennis court , which considering the high standards elsewhere . On the whole an excellent week in the November sunshine and I would most happily return

Having been once!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/6/06
Visited Aug 2006 - 1 week only. Hotel was clean and staff very friendly. A very vast area covered by hotel. No lifts required,as spread over two floors over acres of land, and still expanding. No noise encountered from building work, or any disruption. Food is a little to be desired. Not much variety or variation on each day. Do not cater much for the British taste, and definitely no bacon or beans for breakfast. Noticed that there were no childs section either. Overall excellent hotel. Rooms very spacious, even when three sharing. Beds are 3/4 size, and plenty of storage space available. You can also get towels by the pool, and the attendant, once he gets to know you, will put the towels out for you on the beds of your choice. The only down fall to our holiday, was that we ended up with up-set stomach caused by the extreme heat and salads. Visited Pharmacy for tablets, but on returning home and visiting our G.P. we were told that this was a waste of time and money, as you need to let it come out of your system naturally, and we have prolonged the symptoms further. Having visited once, would not rush back, but would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a quiet holiday, although not too many miles away from nightlife.

The Best Holiday!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/24/06
The service was brill! Such a lovely surpurb location, a jetti of the beach amazing for snorkling even better than diving!! So many different and colourful fish! Night life entertaining! What made it even more amazing was the company there, without those people we met there it wouldn't have been the holiday we all remember so well! It was our first all inclusive holiday so we didn't know what to expect but it was great anyways! Really really love to go back!!

It would be nice to return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/30/06
Our stay was excellent, the staff were friendly and eager to help. The location was to us idilic and the shuttle to Naama Bay was an elleclient finishing touch. On the down side the bathrooms needed refurbishment. The buffet in the main restaurant was not what we considered 4* as it failed to cater for British tastes even on their English Buffet night and personally I did not approve of sparrows sitting over the uncovered cerials - it made the contents in the bowls ; somewhat suspect!. On one occasion we tried room service but were not impress with the food on that occasion either. However the Al a carte was very good.

Would love to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/19/05
Definitely one of my best family holidays, very enjoyable, lots to do, very hot weather. All the staff are great - bar men, waiters, towel guys, and the game guys - christina, natalie, howard, and moe - all legends. Great day entertainment - pool volley ball, beach volley ball, french boules, foot ball, billiards, water gym, the list goes on. Evening entertainment always a laugh - Mr and Mrs Conrad, kareoke, belly dancing, pool party etc the beach was great, lots to do - there's the bar, hire a speed boat, snorkelling, banana boat, a jetty and so on. The room was good, cleaned everyday, fresh sheets and towels. Made loads of new friends, I'd strongly recommend this place.
