Had a great stay!!
By ,
I would like to say that when i stayed at this hotel, it was a great experience. Stacy the staff member who greeted us was amazing. Stacy made our stay great, she went above and beyond any of our expectations. She went out of her way to make sure that we had a great visit. She is very Friendly. The kids just loved her! the hotel was very clean. if i have to say anything that i did not like about my visit was that the jets in the hot tub did not work. Other than that great place to stay! thank you Stacy.

Comfortable Stay!
By ,
We booked online after seeing this hotel on the Indianapolis Visitor's Guide. Stayed 3 nights and had a very comfortable stay. The hotel was not busy at all, probably due to us choosing to stay the weekend after Labor Day. A couple of things to note: 1) We booked a whirpool suite after seeing the virtual tour of the room online. Our room was nothing like the photos, so we were somewhat disappointed. The whirlpool tub was basically a bathtub with 4 jets. My son loved it, but I was disappointed. The room itself really shouldn't be called a suite. It's basically a standard room with a small 1/2 wall between the king bed and pull-out sofa. We were expecting an actual 1 bedroom style suite, as shown on the online tour. We did ask the desk if all the rooms were the same, and they said the rooms pretty much were. The king bed was very comfortable, but we hated the pillows. Very soft feather pillows and they don't have any others, so bring your pillows if you prefer something firmer. 2) Breakfast was just fine. Nice assortment of muffins, cereal, bananas, bagels, toast, instant oatmeal, sausage, egg patties, and waffle-maker. They had milk, juices, coffee, tea, & hot chocolate, too. 3) Pool area was fine. Nothing glamorous, but clean. The hot tub steps & seats could use a fresh coat of paint because they are looking worn. Overall, we really enjoyed the pool. Overall, the room was fine and when you upgrade to the "suite" you get a mini-fridge (which was the size of a college-type fridge and nice) and a microwave. Those made the extra money worth it for us, since we brought food to pack lunches for the Children's Museum & Zoo. We also had popcorn at night and movies. Would stay again!

This is more like it.
By ,
The professional gentleman at the desk exuded confidence in his hotel so I decided to stay at this hotel. I was not familiar with the Clarion brand so I did a little research and the gentleman who showed me the hotel told me about all of things they had done to out-do the other properties, including some wonderful pillowtop mattresses and great bedding. The hotel had recently updated some things, but some things were older, but adequate. The breakfast was pentiful and full of choices. Exercise room was small, but everything worked and I enjoyed conversation with the staff. Will be back.

Can't beat it.
By ,
For the money, you can't beat this place. It's not the Ritz, but it has its own charm and great staff. Dave will take care of any requests you have. Incredibly comfy mattresses is this place and decent cont'l breakfast. You can get great deals online if you do the prepaid deals. Overall, good place to rest your head and feel comfortable.

i just dont know. . . .
By ,
really. i just dont know if one should stay there. most of the staff was not friendly at all. they're are two frontdesk employees dave& charles i believe were the names, if you check in and they are working be perpared to have great service.i will say were great, always smiling and greeting with a up beat personality. they made staying at there better then it was. that was the only good part of that stay. the rooms were just okay. and the breakfast would of been better, but it was not always stocked up on time. i can recall other guest having to ask the frontdesk attendent if anything else was going to be stocked and was given a bit of s smart remake form the desk clerk. an older gentleman alittle heavy set and with glasses.(not dave or charles like i stated before they were great) he was the same clerk i had called and asked for a wakeup call was told that would be fine and persisted to say some rude, crude, and uncalled for comment. it was late and knew the manager would not be in. i have tried to talk to him and he was as nice as the very crude desk clerk. now i would probably never stay there again and think you should rethink it also.

Do not stay here
By ,
We arrived @ the Clarion in Indianapolis on June 22, 2007 late at night, so we were very tired. The room was not clean, and the beds are double beds. No queens! To add fuel to the fire, the room smelled just like mildew. I have asthma, and it was bad enough that my asthma flared. I complained to the front desk, and I was told to call during the week. I called and the manager was not empathetic at all. In fact he argued with me that all the carpets had been replaced, and that it was the glue I was smelling. This was not glue, this was an old, attic smell. It was gross. For the money, this is not a good choice. Then customer service is bad!

We need more hotels like this!
By ,
First of all, I did make up the guest room in our house for Grandma, but she insisted that she wanted to stay at a hotel. After a little arguing I finally conceded, plus we agreed that the little tyke could swim in the pool. Problem was that we were now on a budget since we also wanted to go the Children's Museum and other stuff and I was not going to let Grandma pay for a hotel room. Called around to some hotels near our home in the Pike High School/Park 100 area and each wanted a ton of money and did not offer any discounts. Clarion saved the day. The front desk person wanted to know the purpose of our travel and not just quote us a rate and get off the phone. When we explained that it was our grandma and she wanted to hang out with her great grandchild, he asked if she was over sixty. He then told me of an over sixty rate that saved us 20% that particular weekend. We were tickled, and since, he had already pointed out the features we were looking for on the phone (hot breakfast for everyone, indoor pool, room with a mini-fridge for sodas, microwave for popcorn, and a sitting area for Grandma) we took two rooms (one for us and one for Grandma) immediately. They were better than advertised. The mattress was a pillowtop that wasn't squishy but a firm mattress with the memory foam top built in. Breakfast was full of variety, pool was sparkling, spa was very warm. Business center was free so we could look up directions on the internet to a couple restaurants we heard about from friends but had never visited. To our delight when we asked about the mapquest directions (because they had us going in what seemed to be a round about way), the front desk person corrected the directions: How intelligent! It was like we were a tourist in our own hometown and felt welcome to stay there. Best of all the front desk person was sharp enough to know that I would pay for Grandma's room and only to take Grandma's card and pretend to scan it. The management and staff of this hotel have a lot to be proud of because they have put together a very clean, well thought out hotel and very well trained staff. They help make Hoosier Hospitality great!

WI.ICE Nike 18's
By ,
Our volleyball team stayed here last weekend for 3 days. After being on the road for 8 hours it was a great relief to come here and relax. We had a wonderful time. Dave at the front desk was the greatest. He gave us excellent directions to places and best places to eat. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Continental breakfest was very filling. Lots of items to choose from.I would recommend this place to all.

Best night's sleep I ever had!
By ,
I thought I had died and went to heaven. But the next best thing are the mattresses at this hotel. They have the Simmon's Felicity Pillowtop beds that are out of this world. So plush and yet so supportive, I've been searching online to try to find a dealer. Continental breakfast was great, so much variety! Pool was warm and clear and hot tub jets had some kick to it. Pretty good exercise room, great business center, with screamin' fast high-speed (they also have access in the room, but I was not on business this time... if I was on business, this would be my spot.) Overall, I was impressed, and impressed with the staff of varied young and older front desk persons. Even the housekeepers were very polite.
