La Quinta Inn & Suites Pine Bluff, Pine Bluff

For the price, it was ok. Air worked very well, beds comfortable and good water pressure. Elevator broke while i was there, but my room was closer to the stairs anyway, so not a huge issue for me. The only issue I had was the fact that they kept double charging me for my room. I talked to them and they removed the charge then charged it again two days later!

I've stayed at many La Quinta Inn and Suites. I have always had a good experience. Until I stayed in this one. This was by far the worst hotel of any I have ever stayed in. It was FILTHY! The a/c in the halls was out and very ineffective in the room itself. The carpet in my room was soaking wet to the point of squishing between my toes when I walked. I checked in around midnight on a long road trip. Had I not been so exhausted, I would have demanded my money back and went somewhere else. This hotel will ruin the reputation of a good company!

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was very polite. They did not give me a smoking room....even though I had called back after reservation was made to confirm this. On check-in, they denied having this information. I also asked them twice if there was a security guard in their parking lot 24/7 and was told there was, but I never once saw a security guard. They also told me the lobby doors do not open automatically after midnight for security reasons. I came in twice after midnight (once at 2:00 A.M.)....even though no one was standing at the desk, they opened right up. Pool gate was locked and from the upper floors there were brownish/greenish blotches on bottom of pool. After Sunday, hotel was almost completely deserted, to the point of being downright spooky....I thought this strange since the other three directly across street seemed to have guests. In summary, it seems to me they just told what I wanted to hear in order to get my business.
