rudeness
By fragalistic, 03/24/09
I was going to stay there on recommendations and I stayed in the past but when I called to check rates and availability I was told " Its check in time now so i cant talk ,call back later deary" So incredibly rude , I understand being busy but if there was only 1 person there, then I could of been asked to leave my info and been called back or a the very least spoken to with some respect and gratitude that I chose to give them my business. I will never go there and I will ensure that my 8-12 person group that usualyy goes there 3-4 times per year will not stay there.

Couldn't sleep next to the equipment room!
By CD, 11/25/08
Stayed at the Comfort Inn Suites on business. Didn't notice the noise in the room until after I turned off the TV and was ready for bed. I looked out my 2nd story window and saw what I thought was an air unit. Thought that must have been what was making the terrible humming noise. I tried to fall asleep and just couldn't do so. At 1:30am I called the front desk and asked if they had any open rooms. They did not and they didn't have any rooms in the Comfort Inn next door either. I told the front desk clerk that I had taken the cushions from the love seat and put them into the tub. I crawled into the tub with my pillows and blankets and thought maybe it would be better sound proofed. I gave myself 1/2 hour but just couldn't fall asleep in the tub either. The sound was a little better in the bathroom, but the tub was too short for comfort. I then went back to try the bed again. I turned the TV back on and tried to find a music channel. I was willing to try anything because by this time it was after 2:30 and I was tired and had a meeting in the morning. Of course the TV gave off a bright light and I decided to cover the TV with a bedspread. By this time I was tired, cranky and not thinking straight. I had a radio in the room that I didn't even think of. Instead I just about set the TV on fire. At 4:45 I called the front desk and told her I still hadn't been able to fall asleep. She said someone else had complained about that room too. I told her I had a meeting that day and wanted to know if I could get a room after the meeting so I could take a nap. I had a four hour drive home and was afraid of falling asleep while driving. She said she would have a room that I could use. I decided to just get dressed and go to the meeting room... after all it was 4:45 and my meeting didn't start until 8:30... but I didn't want to be late. That was when I walked past the TV and smelled for heat coming from the bedspread. The flat screen was so hot that 3/4 of the screen had turned black. As it cooled it turned back to the normal picture. I checked out and went to the meeting room and laid on the floor with a couple of pillows. I was able to take a nap from noon until 3:00pm before my drive home. When I last checked out I was told that I had been in the room next to the equipment room. I think it's about time they invest in some insulation for both of those rooms. It might be spendy for insulation... but I just about burned up the TV and I know that would cost more to repair fire damage. I really don't feel that my employer should have to pay for the room that night. AND I don't feel that they sould rent out this room until the noise issue is taken care of. Please do not accept Room # 217. It's terrible, terrible, terrible!

This was perfect for my kids
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/11/08
I liked the pool and rooms in this facility. The couch and coffee table are is perfect for kids in the evening to play games and maybe order a pizza in. Everyone was very polite and helpful. I would come again with the kids.

Wont go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/07
The lady at the front desk was self absorbed and too busy with doing her own no work related activities to help the customers. Amazing she has not been replaced.

Very Quiet and had the pool all to ourselves. The water slide was a nice surprise, kids had a blast. I would stay here again.

great pool for kids
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/06
Mostly friendly front desk, breakfast was good, rooms were basically clean besides a few human hairs and plenty of pet hairs. I will say it is a stretch to call the rooms suites. Ours was a standard size room with a partial divider. Regular rooms at the Ramkota were larger with significantly more floor space for airbeds or portable cribs. The pool, however, was a huge plus. Very warm water takes no getting used to and the kids jumped right in. Wading pool starts very shallow and gradually gets deeper up to 4 ft - I believe. The part of the pool with the slide is also warm and perfect for kids of all ages from what I saw.

Overall a nice place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/20/06
Nice pool for kids, clean, and a good breakfast! Rooms were smaller than average, but clean and nice. Staff was always nice and kept everything real clean, even the breakfast area. We will stay there again.

One of the better values I've seen lately
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/04
This is a great hotel for peace and quiet. It seems newly built. It was clean, quiet and comfortable and very reasonably priced. I had the hottub and pool to myself for two nights running. The only drawback is lack of dining on premises but there are plenty nearby. Would definitely recommend if you want a good nights sleep.
