Wonderful Last Min.
By Michelle, 11/02/09
On the last weekend on our vacation I thought it would be really neat to go to tunica. I must say that I was very impressed with the customer service from the min we walked into the Gold Strike everyone was wonderful they made it a point to call you by your name and always asked if they could help with anything. I only stayed for one night which was sad because after that wonderful time we had I wanted to stay. Oh! If you stay you must eat at the Chicago Steak something prices are up there but worth every penny. You will get what you pay for!!!

It was Ok....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/08
Stayed for one night during the week. After reserving our room, we returned to the parking garage to retrieve some items from the car....and the car had been smashed. I will say that management tried to help, but could not locate anything useful on the security tapes. The room was rather dark, and the bed low to the ground. The bathroom was a good size, and the tile was nicely done. The location is good, with plenty of gaming and dining within the Gold Strike and other nearby casinos. I have to disagree with any comparison to Las Vegas, just not the same folks. Played tables games, average winnings. The staff was ok, received rather unfriendly service at the desk during checkout in the morning.

Enjoyed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/13/07
We stayed for four (4) nights this month. We enjoyed the room, security, and the slots. The resturants were very good. We ate at all the resturants, except the Chicago Steakhouse. No reason, just didn't. The food was outstanding and cost very good. We had a ball. The room cost was very good. Housekeeping did an outstanding job. We loved it and would return, but it is a 800 mile drive from our home. Next time, we will fly to Memphis and take the shuttle. Stuart

Just Perfect
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/06
Traveling from East coast back to Oklahoma and thought a spur of the moment evening in Tunica would be perfect. Could not find a room online while headed that way BUT Gold Strike came through with a $54 rate even though our experience was worth three times that. Room was excellent, late night snack was perfect, everyone was happy we were there even though it was obvious we were travlers more than gamblers. Will side-step Memphis in our future trips and pre-book Gold Strike when it fits our schedule.

Never stay elsewhere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/06
We have been to this hotel/casino several times and the service is excellent. We travel a great deal and for any price, this is an excellent experience. I can't say enough about the casino personnel, the spa, and the overall helpful attitude of the representatives.

It's a nice place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/06
Gold Strike had good room rates! especially if you stay during the week. The hotel has very nice decor with mirrors and flowers. Little like Vegas. The rooms were nice with queen beds, good sheets and towels. And big bathroom! The only minor problem was the housekeeping. There were things missing like a tissue box and trash can. And the rooms could have more lighting. The buffets were little expensive so we ate elsewhere. The slots were not loose at all! So don't put your money here! I would go back here again the next time to stay.

Do Not Go!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/06
A recent vacation to Tunica left us disgusted. I decided to play the slots at the Gold Strike. It looked like alot of people were winning. The lights on top of the slots were flashing. I played for awhile and decided to cash out and go to another machine. Big Mistake!! The lights flashing were not winners, the computers were down. Rather than telling patrons so they wouldn't play and get their money jammed in the slots they told no one. I sat there waiting for my money to be brought by an attendent for six hours. Am I a fool for waiting for my money, maybe but it was the principal of the thing. There were hundreds waiting to be paid by hand. Two people were checking slots then going to the cage and hand writing tickets to come back hours later and pay you. 6 hours waiting. You couldnt' find any casino employee to help. The only decent ones were security and I think they were only trying to keep everyone from rioting. Everyone who was asked except for security and a tech guy passed the buck. I have not been this angry for years and years. No one would listen, no one would help, they would walk as fast as they could to get away from you. Unfortunately I couldn't keep up with them. Terrible experience. They said they called in extra help! They waited for the next shift to come in, three hours later and then just kept the prior shift there to help. That was four people for literally hundreds of patrons. Don't take the chance. There are to many other casinos where you can have a good time playing.

A night of relaxation turn into a nightmare!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/06
We went a stay at Goldstrike Easter weekend to watch a circus show that we enjoyed, however, our night of relaxation turn into a nightmare, when tenants were screaming, yelling at the hallway at 2am, and at 530am which was brought to the attention of the manager, who we did not even see or talk to us. We stayed at the same hotel couple of years ago, however, we saw many changes. The room was smelly, customer service was slow and not all that great!!!!! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.................... I hope that for that much money they charged ,,,, the hotel should be worth it to stay in................................................................................................
