Hampton Inn Memphis/Collierville, Collierville

Room was clean enough, and if your on the back side of the building, train noise isn't bad. It used to cost more to stay here, but the rates have dropped in an attempt to keep guests since the opening of the new Marriot at The Avenue shopping center. However, the comment about incompetent staff was a bit of an understatement for myself and a co-worker when we were staying there on an assignment for our company. My co-worker stopped by the hotel to get her key-card, but did not enter her room at that time. Later when she did go to her room, it was occupied. A trip to the front desk fixed the problem. Then 2 nights later, as I was about to enter my room, another guest opened the door and was comeing out of the room I had occupied for the past 5 days. Seems the hotel listed my room as vacant...Never mind that all my belongings were still in there. And the "unwelcome guest"...He attemped to log on to my lap top and helped himself to my rum ! Another evening as I passed by the front desk, I was able to overhear another guest having the same problem. All I ask is a clean quiet safe and secure place to stay. The front desk mgr. said they would make it up to me with "comp.nites" to use at another time. By the time I sat down with the gen. mgr. the offer had been reduced to a 25.00 gift card from American Express. After reporting this situation to my company, we will no longer be staying at the Hampton Inn of Collierville.

Nothing to dislike about this place! We stayed in this motel for 8 days & it was one of, if not the BEST places we have ever stayed. Entire motel is Smoke Free! :) Staff was wonderfully friendly, constantly asking if we need anything, others constantly cleaning...as if it needed it, and the breakfast each morning was great. We definitely will go back & highly recommend this place to everyone.

I didnt like anything. Room filthy, service very lax & incompetent, the rates are for the area not for the hotel!

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn in Collierville, TN. Our room was comfortable and clean. We were concerned about it being close to the railroad tracks, however at night we barely heard the train horn toot briefly a couple of times, not enough to affect our sleep. Wished they had laundry facilities on-site, but other than that the hotel was great and would stay there again. The staff there was very friendly, especially the lady that took our reservations and handled our check in/out.

Good breakfast, Rooms where nice and clean, but We could have had more room in the gym area. only 3 machines to work out on. other than that it was a real nice place I will be back for sure.

I always stay at a Hampton. However, this one in lovely Collierville is in front of rail road tracks and yes, if you are a light sleeper or not, you'll hear the trains all the time. GET A ROOM NOT FACING THE FRONT and hopefully you won't hear the trains!
