Quality Inn Woodstock, Woodstock

Called about 8:30 for a room, they had plenty and a pool so that was what I needed after a long day. 1st thing after check in I went to the room that was written on the key card..... only to find people in it.... yikes!!! then after going back to the desk the guy re-wrote the number and we got in a room that was 85* and really smelt bad:( I had 2 grandchildren with me and we stopped just so they could swim b/4 bed so they wanted to hurry as now it was 9:15 and he said the pool closed at 10 p.m. so I opened the window and told the kids to change & go swimming as the room would probably be okay when they got done........ well NOT so, but I was tired so I just left the window open and put the heat on low..... not a good thing to do, but it helped some. The breakfast was NOT very good. When checking out I was told by the gal at the desk that she told the guy that "he should not have put us in that room" because they had just cleaned the carpet...(explains why I thought the carpet felt wet) and she would give me a discount..... well she did AFTER uping the room price, so I ended up paying the same price as I checked in at:( I would not recomend this place to anyone and it sure made me look elsewhere for our family gathering in the area during the holidays. So sad to think that public places don't care anymore about people than this.
