Oak Plantation Resort, Kissimmee

We booked a studio room because that was all the space we needed, however everyone failed to mention that when you book a studio that you won't actually be staying at the resort you will be staying at the "Inn" which is located off the resort premisis and down a dirt road at a motel on a busy street smack dab in the middle of two other dives. Of course when we realized where we were going to be staying for the next week we went back to complain and the staff didn't show any sympathy and just explained there was nowhere else to put us and I quote "it's not our fault, your the one who booked the studio". So I sat there with tears streaming down my face and went back to the room. The sink was broke, the door lock was broke, only had about 8 cable channels and no hot water in one of the sinks. My husband and I both claimed that this was the worse vacation we have ever taken and we take two a year. We did the time share deal because of intrest in one and we would never buy one through these people. I was called a "marketing package" and I told these people how I was treated and they said "are you going to buy a timeshare because if you do we'll turn the place upside down to get you in a room at the resort" and when we said no way she shruged her shoulders and walked away. If your not a timeshare owner just forget, these people do not care about you. This place should be ashamed! Not to mention all the low flying planes the fly by at all times and are very annoying. Don't stay here it's one big lie after another!!!!!!

after our first visit, we waited eagerly for our return. ideal location , easy to reach all parks using minor roads, not 192 apartments excellent , also a chance to meet real Americans who enjoyed it as we did

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent in every way possible. Directions to disney and golf courses were accurate. The grounds were well kept and the security was fine. We would go back and stay again. The price of the one bedroom villa was excellent. A great value. Try it you will not be sorry.

We were staying at this hotel when Hurricane Charlie hit last summer (2004). The staff was great, provided flashlights, and communicated with us through the storm. The place was hit bad and loss power along with most of Kissimmee. We got a refund of our time share week. The resort was clean, and comfortable. The pools were nice and not too crowed. The gym was medium, had more equipment than some hotels. The grounds were beautiful with lush Oak trees all around (prior to the storm knocking many down). Plenty of parking close to the units, though we had to walk around to the back of the building to get to our unit. I would stay here again.

i love the location, it is so close to ALL the parks. The rooms are so clean and set up like home. The employees are the all so nice and helpful. I really felt safe and comfortable.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this resort form Aug 5-8. And the only complaint I have is that it was too short of a stay:( We had a wonderful experience. The staff at the front desk were very helpful when we checked in. Our 1bdrm condo was clean and it had everything we needed. It was exactley what we needed for our vacation!! Cant wait to go back!!

Where do I start? First off they have a very nice swimming pool ,only problem is it's on the other side of the complex,also our room had no drive up access we had to park and walk all the way around the building, the remote didn't work ,but that really didn't matter seeing how the cable was only able to be watched on about 10 channels the rest had to much static to see the picture.the stove didn't work when we got there, there was ants all over the place, we didn't get one night of complete sleep ,thanks to the AC unit ,every time it kicked on it would wake the whole house ,it was so loud you couldn't hear each other talk.Then there is the (free) breakfast,the so called (free) breakfast has to be reserved with twenty dollars.And we all know what the breakfast really is, it's a sales pitch,which is fine, the only thing is that if you don't meet their income requirments they get very hatefull and rude, I was called a liar,wanted to know how I made my money and how I supported my family ,all from a women who barly spoke english. then the sales manager came out and laughed at me and walked off while I tried to talk to him. After they had me good and mad the told me I could have breakfast then go over to guest relation and get my discount attraction tickets. but when they found out I didn't meet the income requirment the refused to give me my tickets. And oh yeah they don't tell you that all local calls cost .75 cents each. The only good thing was house keeping and how big the rooms are. But It isn't worth it. I will be staying at any other motel before we stay there again!!!

It was very relaxing and in the middle of everything

My husband and I have stayed at Oak Plantation four times and every experience has been wonderful. The staff is friendly, and the resort is secluded enough to make you forget that you are in the middle of all the Disney hustle and bustle. The rooms are big, clean, and have everything you need (fully furnished kitchen, washer/dryer). The property is close and easily accessible to lots of dining and shopping, and is only about 45 minutes from Cocoa Beach. We have never been hounded to attend a timeshare presentation. The resort also has a lot of fun activities for kids. Although we do not have children, it is a perfect place for families or couples alone. The pool area is large and even during peak season there are always enough chairs and towels. Our vacations have always been very relaxing when we stay at Oak Plantaion, we cannot wait to return in July 2005!

We stayed in June 2004. The room was very large, had a full kitchen with everything in it, even a washing machine. There is a kingsize bed in one room and a pull out queen bed. It is great for families. There is so much to do, game room, tennis, pool area. Local to shopping and resturants. It's location is in a very fair spot about 25-30 minutes away from most theme parks. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
