Nice place if the staff worked somewhere else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/21/08
Looks - Nicely decorated Location - Right downtown Services - Have no idea wasn’t sticking around to find out Staff - You want good service go to Mc Donald’s these people are the worst group in customer service ever. Reservations When I called to book the room the women I dealt with seems to be of little interest of even being on the phone but it was mostly painless. Called to say I would be late checking in, not something I had to do but as a nice thing to do. First try at the 1-800 no answer after 10 rings. Tried back after a half hour and once again the women I dealt with couldn’t wait to get me off the phone and on to whatever else was occupying her time. Check in Got there the girl at the desk barely even looked up. No Hi, Good Evening or anything else. Even a smile would have been a nice change. Gives us a key to our room and a parking pass, Now maybe it is just a me thing but when someone is coming from out of town it might be a good idea to tell them where they need to park. Something like here is your parking pass and you will park across the street on the second level. Instead I have to stare at her until I come to the conclusion that she is not the volunteer information type. Get the room key. Room 522, seems straight forward, take the elevator up to 522. Well that is what I thought until after parking and caring all of our luggage back across the street to the hotel and getting in the elevator did we notice that it only went to the 4th floor. The only thing that helped was the bell boy that was conveniently in the elevator at the time told us it was across the street above the parking lot where we just came from. Another bit of information that would have been helpful to have been provided with. At this point to be pissed would have been an understatement. But since we had been driving 30 hrs from Ontario I though I would sleep on it, and maybe it was the lack of sleep getting to me. The room was fine a standard hotel room nothing really all that big of a deal to justify the price. I will mention I was getting a fairly good discount on the room. When I got up in the morning, I decided that I would stay the remaining 3 nights. That was until I was reviewing the bill on the TV service. Not only did the girl who was not the sharing type not tell me that parking would be at a cost of $5 but they even spelt my name wrong. I would have though it might be one those things you pick up on when you check in and you spell the name to the person and they take your credit card. (Admittedly on check out I did notice that there was a sign on the check in counter about the parking, unfortunately it was right under where I put my portfolio with all my paper work. Another place where volunteering information would have helped.) Getting the hell Out Pissed at this point decided to check out less then 12 hrs after checking in and with a 4 day reservation. Get to the counter to tell them we were leaving and the girl there (a different one this time) doesn’t say good morning or even hello. I have to make a point of say MORNING in a loud voice to get a response. When we tell her we are checking out no one asks why. I would think someone would ask if there was a problem, can we fix it. But no one there seemed to care. Then she said that usually they would need 24 hrs notice or I would be charged a second night but I guess out of the goodness of their heart they would wave it. But really I am pretty sure since it was a very busy weekend and I was getting a discount they were happy that they would be able to rent the room at full price. All and all I would never go back to this place the people are the worst group of people in customer service I have ever had to deal with.

POOR SERVICE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/07
Me and my husband went to the spa for our honeymoon and booked a jacuzzi room. The floors were dirty, everything in the room was very crowded, and there was some sort of yellow stain on our sheets. This was not what we expected from this high end hotel charging high end rates. I would rather stay at the DAYS INN anytime!!

We shall return.
By wayne, 08/06/07
We liked the front desk staff, the rooms and the waters. The massage personnel are one hundred percent and treated us like royalty. The rooms were sound proof and the beds were like sleeping on a cloud. A newspaper every morning was a treat. We parked the car in the parking lot and we spent two days we were there, walking around taking in siteseeing. My wife liked the proximity to the casino.

The water was wonderful and clear even outside in winter amazing with the snow falling We spent more time outside than in. The service was good and it was so nice to go for lunch in the restaurant in the building ,very relaxing . We met nice people in the pool and during the weekk it was not that busy A nice place for seniors.

Disappointed !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/03/06
My friends and I found the hotel to be in a very good location. It was close to our Convention Center , the Mae Wilson Theatre. Your Staff was friendly and we liked the hours of access to the Pool. We were however very disappointed when we found out that we only had a King size bed and a futon for 4 people. We had requested a cot but it only arrived after 3 requests. The room wasn't as clean as we had expected for the price we paid. The coffee pot hadn't been properly cleaned and the plants were laden with dust. Two persons staying overnight have allergies to house dust and were uncomfortable. Friends staying at another hotel were given $15.00 coupons for the Casino. We didn't get anything. Perhaps you could consider that for another time.

The most Romantic Getaway!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/11/06
No dislikes, had a marvelous time in a beautify\ully appointed clean room with fantastic staff. There are many things to do within walking of the hotel, several fantastic restaurants, close to a park, several art galleries, the tunnels of Moose Jaw tours, gift/craft mall, Moose Fudge Factory, clean city with freindly staff.

Is the water back on?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/09/06
My fiancee and I went there on a Saturday afternoon to relax and celebrate his birthday. The cashier at the spa told us AFTER we paid that we can still go use the spa but not able to use the washrooms or shower due to a water main break or something like that. She told us it will be back within the hour. Since we are planning to stay there for at least 2 hours we decided to stay and went swimming. Two hours later, washrooms stunk of pee and whatever else, and no shower. By this time the pool was not open to the public. I was not happy that i paid the Saturday full price for that experience.

Took advantage of the Moose Jaw getaway. What a deal and what a fantastic experience!
By K P, 09/26/05
Well organized, excellent (better than excellent) value, tunnel tours, casino coupons. I've been to the spa before, like what you've done with the coffee/beverage area by the pool. Well done. The housecoats, towels, lotions, soaps, are all top notch. Rooms with balconies are a real plus, fresh outside air and a place for smokers too. We had a super location and wouldn't change a thing. We were on the 3rd floor and could walk to any desination we wished. SUGGESTION: Another partnership opportunity might be with local golf courses. Since check-in time isn't til 4:00, we could golf first, then enjoy the waters for stiff and aching muscles. Would look forward to coming back for such a package. Sincerely Irene Pisula p.s. keep up the good work.

What a great weekend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
We enjoyed everything about the place where we spent the weekend of our 30th anniversary in 2003 as a gift from our children. The Mineral Spa was very relaxing, not too crowded ,water was clean and it was neat to sit in the outside area of the hot pool in the middle of winter! Our room was clean and room service was fine.Staff were very friendly and made it an enjoyable stay. We plan to go back.
