Days Inn Ridgeland, Ridgeland

We arrived around midnight. The room looked like a fight had taken place there and then hastily straightened up. There were two holes in the ceiling, appeared to be made from chair legs. A suspect white substance on the couch, (I stayed away from that). Dirt was plainly visible on the blanket. The wall paper was not stuck to the walls but the sheets were simply hanging from the top, about to come down at any time. The desk leg was about to give out, I straighted it out so it wouldn't fall. One of the doors on the TV cabinet was off, splinters were left. The TV screen had a white residue that was apparently cleaner sprayed on and never wiped off. There were pubic hairs on and around the toilet and in the tub. There was no cover over the fan in the bathroom. There was a hole (looked like a fist) in the bathroom door that was painted over, splinters left sticking out (splinters were painted too!) All this with a really strange smell in the room. We (myself & two kids) slept in one bed, in our clothes and shared one sheet. Even my 9 year old son said he didn't want to touch anything. We left as soon as we could to run home to Maryland to shower.
