Nice facility
By morningmud, 9/28/10
I made my reservations for the wrong weekend but the desk clerk got us in and even got us very close to our travel companions. The room was clean and the problems that I saw from some other reviewers were not present during our stay. We did not use the pool however. The only complaint I could have is that one of the people working the breakfast are was rude. I'll be booking there when I visit my son at Fort Campbell in the future.

What was i thinking
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/17/10
I am sitting in my room as we speak. First I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Hopkinsville for two nights then moved to this Holiday Inn Express because it was closer to where i needed to be. Let me tell you. When i first came in i had to stand at the front desk for several minutes before anyone came to help me due to them in the back room just having a good time. When i finally got the gentalmans attention, he was completely rude and our room wasnt ready yet. When i walked into the room there was an odor that smelled like stale cigarette smoke with mildew or mold and mind you it was a non-smoking room. The bathroom towel rack is about to fall off the wall. They beds were hard and god forbid you walk on the floor without shoes. It was probley the worst hotel experience and i will not be staying here again.

This Place is Amazing! Not in a good way.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/8/09
I'm sitting in the actual room writing this review; and I have to wonder how this place hasn't been condemned by the Health Department. First off, the entire hotel has a rank smell to it. Just imagine mildew, body odor, and animal urine stewing together to make a nausiating perfume that permiates everything, including your clothes. Why you ask? Well considering the A/C units are from the Jurassic period, the dehumidifier function inside have ceased to work. This is causing humid air to be blown into the room and land immediately on the carpet, soaking it into the fibers and creating mold. Right now, I have my feet propped up onto the refrigerator to keep them off of the wet floor. It's disgusting. Change rooms you ask? Did that - twice - same result. Every room is exactly the same. Leave you ask? Tried that too. The rep at the front desk was implicit about NO REFUNDS. So basically we're trapped into a nasty room that we paid $130.00 for; and no one here seems to care. Here's the bottom line; If you're caught in a blizzard, having car problems, or are a micro-biologist looking for a new strain of mold spore; then by all means stay here. But if you're a family like us that is just passing through, I'd suggest staying in Hopkinsville or Clarksville. The hotels are much nicer and there are a variety of restaurants to eat at. If you're in the mood for a nice McDonald''s or Wendy's double stack, then you're in luck, because that's all there is around here.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/30/08
The following observations are based on over 45 nights at this hotel. The Good- Proximity to Fort Campbell, Pleasant Staff ( Mostly ), Parking Lot and Grounds are Clean, Internet Speed and Connectivity, Has A Pool/Hot Tub, Managers' Reception, Hot Breakfast The Bad-Overall cleanliness is below average. There is a visible line of dirt around the perimeter of almost every wall including the elevator. My room had been recently renovated, but no one ever performed a Final Clean. There was a peculiar smell to the room when the AC was turned on so I pulled the cover off of the AC unit and it was loaded with drywall dust and other construction related debris. There was caulking on the ceramic tile in the bathroom and the ever-present line of dust around the walls. Dryer in the Laundry Room doesn't work properly, I had to run 1 pair of jeans through 3 cycles to get them mostly dry. The Ugly - Hot Tub has not worked properly on a consistent basis for the last 2 months. Either the jets don't work, the heater is broken or it's too dirty to use. Screen doors surrounding the indoor pool area are not operational, allowing bugs and leaves to enter the pool and hot tub. In the evenings certain Front Desk staff have a tendency to be somewhere else besides the Front Desk. Finally when checking out for the week I was assessed an Early Departure Fee of $20, which in the 2 months I have been staying here I had never even heard of. When I asked the Front Desk person about it, they stated that "Corporate was on their back for not charging this fee", I don't have a big problem with the fee as long as the customer is informed about it, whether thru printed material at the Front Desk, being told that this is their policy, or even on their specific website. When I asked the person to produce something that had the policy written on it, they could not, even after waiting 30 minutes. If it is a policy then post it and inform your customers.

expected better
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/25/07
Like- Close to military base, interstate and stores. Dislike - The most disturbing thing was the breakfast. Some of the apples had deep brusing and were mushy. The milk had a fly, flying around in the container. Bottom line, the server should check all the foods & drinks. I gave this hotel a 3 star rating. Overall it's not a bad place to stay. This is my second time here. Maybe the breakfast issue was just bad timing on my part.

I would stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/30/07
I had drove for about 7 hours when I arrived, when I first arrived it took the desk clerk (there were 2 of them there) about 10 minutes to acknowledge the fact that I was standing there. That would be my only complaint about the hotel personnel. The check in process was pretty quick after I was greeted, and I was in my room within minutes. I was very pleased with how clean the room was, even the carpet appeared very clean, my only complaint on the room itself it that there was a large hole in the wall by the window, where it looked like someone had kicked their jump boot into the wall. I was hoping this wouldnt get blamed on me (which it wasnt). Traffic wasnt too horrible around the hotel, it is right on 41A, just a few miles from fort campbell, ky. I will stay there again when I visit my nephew at fort campbell, and would recommend to other family.

Business stay 2 1/2 weeks per mo.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/05
Because I am a civilian with the military I stay there due the close proximity to Ft. Campbell. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff are pleasant and very helpful. I would recommend hotel for business or families traveling for pleasure.
