Holiday Inn Express And Suites, Wilmington

Simple: Big, Comfy room in a large hotel right on the beach. Hotel has a huge gift-shop and a wonderful restaurant, where kids eat free. Very in-expensive, and an appropriate price per night at this hotel is about $250 per night, but they only charge about $150 a night. Mega deal, definitely worth it.

We had driven 7 1/2 hours in order to attend a wedding and were grumpy and tired. We knew check in was at 3 and we got there at 12. They checked us right in. The room was so comfortable, clean, and cozy. We took showers and a nap. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

loved the room until i got home to find they charged my more than double the price of the room really messed up my checking account had me in arears for three day could not put gas in my car

I would highly recommend this hotel. I stayed there for 3 nights while sight-seeing in Wilmington. Our room was ready earlier than expected and was very clean. Beds were very luxurious with plenty of pillows. Staff was friendly, especially the weekend crew. Although the hotel was full, we were not disturbed by any noise and there was pleanty of hot water for showers. The hotel provided a breakfast every morning and it had everything from sausgae biscuits to cereal. If I am ever in the area again I will try to stay there. the only problem was finding the hotel--it is tucked back in a corner and we got lost trying to find it. Better directions might have been helpful. Don't use Map Quest.

This is one of the most nicely appointed motels I have ever stayed in. Everything is clean and neat. There is a nice, large breakfast area. The rooms are large, quiet and the beds are very comfortable.

WE CAME FROM MEDINA, NEW YORK FOR A WEDDING IN WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH WHERE MANY GUESTS WERE STAYING.COMPARING THIS HOTEL TO THERES THIS ONE WAS LIKE BEING IN HEAVEN. OUR STAY HERE WAS THE BEST,VERY CLEAN AND EVERYONE WAS SO HELPFUL IN EVERYWAY.THE MORNING BREAKFAST BAR IS EXCELLENT ALONG WITH EVERYTHING ELSE.I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS WONDERFUL HOTEL,THIS WOULD BE THE ONLY HOTEL WE WOULD STAY AT WHEN VISITING WILMINGTON. My daughter & I arrived in the Wilmington, NC area at 3:AM, after a long drive & after getting lost twice trying to find the Holiday Inn Express, I desperately called the night desk clerk, Brian, for directions to the Holiday Inn Express. Brian gave us very clear directions & stayed on the phone w/ us until he gave us directions right up to the front door of the Holiday Inn Express. We are greatly impressed & thankful. In the mornings, there is a bountiful deluxe continental bkft. & the person, Rhonda, supplying the bkft. could not have been nicer. Very courteous, helpful, & very pleasant. The desk staff (Suzanne, Katie, etc.) were over the top friendly, very eager to please & make our stay the most pleasant it could possibly be. Even the housekeepers were very friendly, courteous, helpful, and seemed to enjoy their work. On the day of my departure, the lawn maintenance man and the hotel manager, John, was outside as I was preparing to load up my car. They did not hesitate to help me pack my luggage in my car. What other hotel can you visit will give you that kind of service? I/We look forward to our next trip to Wilmington & w/o a doubt we will definitely stay at the Holiday Inn Express. I give the staff, the cleanliness, the service, the value for the price a 5 star.
